About Hawkeye by Norcross D10D Digital Depth Sounder

Instant Depth Readings, Updated 4 Times Per Second... Why the Hawk-Eye D10D? Today's high-tech, multipurpose fish finders are designed to produce a range of readings from bottom contour, fish location, and thermocline's, to a variety of other useful sonar data. However, the technology used to decipher between these different signals coupled with the configuration of their specialized transducers greatly reduces their ability to give instant bottom readings. The Hawk-Eye D10D Depth Sounder is engineered to give precise depth readings from 2.5' to 200' (.7 to 61 meters), at speeds up to 60 mph (100 kph). Say goodbye to the days of not knowing the depth while running your boat on plane.

Algorithmic programming virtually eliminates false depth readings while easy touch programming allows one-touch access to dual depth alarms. The full range keel offset adjusts depth readings for vessel draft. The oversized LCD measuring 1.65" x .87" (4.2 cm x 2.2 cm) reads depths in feet or meters, and uses Soft-Glow backlighting for unmatched readability at night. The included combination transducer can be either transom-mounted or glued in-hull.

The Hawkeye D10D measures 2" in diameter and 1.75" deep (5.1 cm x 4.4 cm) with a 30' (9 meter) Traducer Cable. The Traducer Frequency is 200 kHz and has a Beam Angle of 25° degrees. The unit uses 11 to 14 Volts DC 200mA maximum and has a current drain of 40mA nominal. The LCD Display is a Polarized Liquid Crystal so even in bright sunlight or when wearing sunglasses reading information is made easy. The warning signaling is audible, red LED and blinking LCD icons. The Hawkeye D10D include interchangeable black and white bezels and face plates, and also a sun cover to protect the LCD during storage. The D10D comes with a comprehensive operation and installation manual.

Hawkeye by Norcross D10D Digital Depth Sounder

Pure junk

from 70507, LA, US

I install this DF with ease, however it only lasted about 6 months with no refund available . I should have known better going cheap. You get what you pay for not going with the better quality .

nice depth finder

I put this on my SeaDoo Explorer dingy and it works great even at 40 mph. doesn't seem to miss a beat.

Works great!

I wanted this for shallow boating and it works great for that. I was hoping to install the sensor in the hull but it wouldn't work there. Installation on the back of the boat was easy.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  How do I purchase the dash mounting bracket ?
DAVID B  Purchased mine from eBay just search for universal gauge meter dash mount example .... 2pcs 52mm 2'' Universal Car Duty Gauge Meter Dash Mount Bracket Cup Pod Holder eBay search dash mounted
Roger Y  it is included
KEVIN F  We do not sell the mounting bracket separately.
Shopper  specs do say what size mounting hole? What is the mounting hole size?
Roger Y  click on item and read specs. it is 2in
Davin A  2 or 2 1/4 can't remember exactly
Barrett N  You will need a 2inch diameter circle for mounting. A 2in hole saw works perfectly.
Sam B  I have a hawkEye in my boat now. Will this hook to my existing transducer?
DENNIS F  Yes, it will. Just check to make sure your transducer is in working order.
Gerard G  I can't say exactly but I do believe it will work. That being said, I tried that first but it was my transducer that was in fact the problem. I just ended up mounting the new transducer and fishing the new wire through. It worked perfectly.
Sam B  Thanks, The screen on mine now is almost unreadable. In the sun I can't see it. I thought I could just change the display and leave the old transducer..
Roger Y  Yes but are you sure the transducer is ok?
Sam B  Yes, I can read it in some light conditions. Very faint but depths are spot on.
