An Excellent product

An excellent quality product...I use mine as a light undergarment when using my Scuba Pro Ever-Dry 4 neoprene drysuit. It also makes an excellent full cover skin when diving in the tropics...very comfortable to wear...more comfortable than a light neoprene wet suit...and it's front entry...

Better then expected

By

The day I was trying this skin out my zipper on my 7mm wetsuit came off in my hand as i was gearing up to dive in 45 degree water. I figured try it and see if i was too cold just end the dive I was more then comfortable at 65ft . I did 2 dives to 65ft for 45minutes and no complaints or chills

PERFECT SKIN

By

I use this by itself for warmth and sun protection while training in the pool. I also wear it under my wetsuit when freediving springs and colder water. I'm 5'10" and weigh 200. The XL fits perfectly. Skins are supposed to be very snug. Expect to spend some time taking it off (just as you would your wetsuit). This skin is a dream in the water. Slightly buoyant (about 1/2 pound), this skin does not creep around, and need to be readjusted when your in the water, like some skins. It's multi layered, so it's very durable, and I don't feel a need do wear anything underneath - as I have with thinner skins. I love mine! It's pricey, but worth every penny.

Too small must try before buying!

By

I'm 180cm, 72kg and this suit barely fits! The size M is so tight my neck hurts and the front entry is a real pain. I nearly tore it a few times just trying it on! The M is more suited for someone 175cm and 65kg max! Other then that, the suit is great for sting and uv protection. It's great as an alternative to a 2mm wetsuit for tropical diving. I would really like to see Hyperflex fix their sizing issues and make a back entry version. Till they fix the sizing issue I can't recommend this to a friend. The pluses are it's light, machine washable, packs well and dries fast. To make this suit perfect I would add these features: Correct sizing/fitting (too small!) 1.5mm neoprene on front/back/shoulders Back zipper not front Elbow/knee pads

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JOHN E  GREAT UNDERSUIT for Industrial Hot water Suits. Also a good looking sporty skin suit for very warm waters like Caribbean. Stops most jellyfish. Seems to run large. I wear an XL for most skinsuits, with this Henderson I wear a Large. VERY WELL MADE and durable, I usually get 600-800 hours out of a suit, machine wash, drip dry every 6-8 hours of use with very little fading. Star Trek fans should choose the Black/Blue option, too bad Henderson doesn't make a Black/Red option too :D
LYNNE G  Are the sleeves the same material as body? Or lighter weight?
K A  The polyolefin material is the same throughout the suit. That is the reason I purchased this suit rather than the Henderson. A great suit.
LYNNE G  Hi K A: I am looking for an alternative for warm water Caribbean diving- alternative to the 3mm everyone seems to recommend. Does this offer warmth of about 2mm, as the Henderson suit is described?
K A  Hi Lynne, I got the suit mostly for sun protection. I am not certified. Hours of skin diving and snorkeling, on an almost daily basis on vacation in the tropics (Hawaii), will leave anyone fried, especially pale me. My previous suit was 1.5 mm, a suit I used over 10+ years. The Hyperflex is at least that much thermal protection. If I arc down 20-30', I do feel those cooler layers of water but my teeth don't chatter after hours in the water. And, I guess, being often near the surface and tropical sun could have a lot to do with that. The care after seems a little easier too-- rinsing and drying. I hope that helps and I hope others have weighed in to help you average the right answer for you. Take care.
JOHN E  everything on this suit is the same weight (fairly light) undersuit only... If you want a super stretch with built in kneepads and spine pad get the Henderson. I am 8 out of 10 happy as an undersuit... would be 4/10 happy as a warm water rash guard. hope this helps
Ben T  The same material throughout the suit.
LARRY L  Is this suit neutrally buoyant?
Kasia W  Yes, this suit is neutrally buoyant.
