I brought this for my 5 year old granddaughter for her trip with me to Akumal, MX. The first day she wore it reef snorkeling this wetsuit not only increased her buoyancy but minimized her sun exposure on a very sunny day. The next morning we were the first swimmers in the water early AM in a coolish, choppy sea. The comfort of this wetsuit helped my granddaughter stay in the water long enough to snorkel with several large sea turtles! The suit is true to size and looks like it will last t...o be handed down to at least one sibling.

Yes, there is a zipper in the back. My son can get it on himself.

There is a zipper on the back that goes down to the lumbar spine. I would say the difficulty of getting the suit on and off is average for a spring suit like this. We have used it without any problems

The zipper is in the back and ends around the waist area. It is not hard to get on provided it fits properly.

The zipper broke on the third use. We shipped it back at our expense (which cost almost as much as the product). They shipped us a new suit and the zipper broke on the first use. It was never used. I would not buy a product from this company ever again based on our experience.

I cannot compare the two suits. I can however, tell you that we are so happy with this suit. Our grandson is always cold in the water, pools, lakes, and ocean alike. We had an Old Orchard Beach vacation planned. knowing the cold waters in Maine, we thought this suit would help. He never took it off. He swam, played and built sand castles in it all five days. So, for what we wanted it for, it was great. I hope this is some help for you.

to be honset, i don't know. My daughter is happy with this one. Keep in mind she only uses it for swim practice and it's indoor. It works well in the indoor pool.

Does this Henderson suit run similar to the sizing comments for the Henderson NeoSport 2mm children shorty? The name suggests more stretch factor than the NeoSport. Is that true?

Yes it is a more stretchy wetsuit. The fit is similar but it is a little different. I believe it has a slightly thinner fit than the Neosport.
