A suit with curves

By Babs D.

Finally a shorty that is made for ladies, including those with curves. The size 14 fit perfectly: I am a very curvy (both on top and bottom - size 16/18 @ 5'8") female. Ideal for those who hate the "boy style" shorty complete with thigh zip. The rear zipper begins in the small of the back like most full length suits.

LOVE IT!

By Moon2luna

I started looking at wetsuits and quickly realized that companies all have different ideas of sizing, and that many companies offer a small variety of sizes. I took my measurements (waist, hips, arms, thighs, etc.) and compared them to the size charts, and only Henderson had my size and the option to choose long or short. I didn't care for the purple and blue cut, but size was more important to me. Boy, was I wrong! When I put it on, it made me look much more slender, without squeezing, pull...

Divers seeking a great value will appreciate Thermoprene's balance of performance and price. The material combination delivers greater flexibility and improved features not found in standard neoprene wetsuits, yet at a reasonable cost, perfect for the cost-conscious buyer. Thermoprene is crafted from a high-quality neoprene and a low pill fabric. It has 75% more stretch than standard neoprene, so while it is not as flexible as Henderson's Thermoprene Pro or TherMAXX lines of products, it still boasts significant comfort characteristics. The 180% stretch Thermoprene is noticeably easy to don, pulling over the shoulders and around the torso with less huff and puff than standard wetsuits. Also, the fabric's exterior stands up extremely well to the wear of BC straps and weight belts with its pill/abrasion-resistant exterior laminate.

This 3mm Shorty is made with uncompromising quality. The suits have seams that are glued and sewn, which seals off stitched areas and drastically reduces water entry. In the Shorty, there is a spine pad with zipper seal to further limit water exchange and to help ease the discomfort of dive tanks. Each Henderson wetsuit benefits from five decades of design experience. The Thermoprene cut allows for an optimal fit while visually enhancing the diver's physique. Creature comforts include Lycra trimmed cuffs, a spine pad and an adjustable collar. Suit has a #10-YKK back zipper with zipper tab leash for easy donning and doffing. Suit is black/blue in color and available in multiple sizes.

Questions about this item:

David C  I have Henderson LS Full suit and love it, 42" chest, 33" waist, 5' 9" 175#, shorty doesn't come in LS, ideas?
John C  Henderson does not make an LS size in these model.
John A  Trouble reading your size chart. I currently wear a 5mm Henderson full body wetsuit that's XL. I'm 5'10" 220lbs could you better help to elaborate on the size I should go with for the shorty?
STEPHEN H  I am 6'2", 225lbs. This suit in an XL fits me well.
JEFFREY M  I am 5' 10" and 200-205 and bought the large, and the fit is good. My guess is XL would be the right fit for you.
TONI D  I bought this wet suit in a large for my husband. He is the 5'10" and 215 lbs. He carries most of his weight in his upper body and has rather short legs. This wet suit fits really well in the large. Hope this helps.
Bertrand L  Does the shorty come in XL tall?
KEVIN F  We do not have this suit in XL Tall.
Rick C  I have a Large size of this wetsuit (recently purchased). I'm sending it back for an XL because the large was much too tight. My stats: Chest-44", waist 34", Height 5'-10", weight 178. Given the size chart breakdown and my experience with the Large size, I'm guessing that your chest size trumps most all of the other criteria? Is replacing the Large the right thing to do, or do you think the material will stretch to accommodate my larger upper body? I already have it packaged and ready to send back. My only worry is the upper part will look fine, and then everything at the waist will be too loose (37" + waist for XL).
MARK B  I am 5'-11". 18lb and I have the XXXL size. it fits great. not too sure sbout how the sizes are rated but seems to be off.
Phil Z  I already have one of these and am looking for a replacement. The large size allows too much water to flush through the arms and legs of the suit, yet my waist at 38 inches shows as too big for a medium size in the chart. Should a get a medium size anyway?
KEVIN F  Yes, we recommend you try the Medium. Return it if it doesn't fit.
