About Henderson Thermoprene 3mm Men's Shorty (Front Zip)

The Thermoprene wetsuit line from Henderson Aquatics delivers quality and performance a step above the rest. A fantastic value, Thermoprene is ideal for budget-minded divers who want the best in materials, design and construction. Thermoprene is crafted from a high quality neoprene that has 75% more stretch than standard wetsuit material. This increased stretch significantly improves diver comfort by making Thermoprene suits noticeably more flexible than the competition. Thermoprene is also easier to get into, pulling over the shoulders and around the torso with less huff and puff than standard wetsuits. And, the fabric's exterior stands up extremely well to friction, meaning it won't show undue wear from BC straps and weight belts.

Get the features and design benefits of more expensive suits in this economically priced. Flexibility, comfort and core warmth are all hallmarks of the Thermoprene Shorty, which is now available in an easy-entry, front-zip design. Wear it alone to prolong your dives in tropical waters or pair it up with a jumpsuit to increase core warmth in more temperate waters. The heavy-duty front #10-YKK zipper makes getting into this Shorty easy on the joints and also layers seamlessly with back-zip suits or full-length johns. Henderson's quality fit-and finish include glued and blind stitched seams and Lycra trimmed arm and leg holes. The Thermoprene Shorty's effectiveness is based on a contoured fit that helps keeps water exchange to a minimum combined with a superior grade of neoprene for maximum heat retention. The suit rubber utilizes limestone based poly-chloroprene reducing the dependency on oil and oil derived chemicals for a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process. Suit is available in multiple sizes, and is black in color.

Henderson Shorty 3mm 5XL

I am 6'3 and weigh 285 and this 5XL fit perfectly. I can squeeze into a 3XL but it pulls across the shoulders. The shorty is easy to get into and out with a heavy duty zipper all the way down the front - ideal for a 60 year old with bad knees.

I would recommend this suit to anyone.

from Huntersville, NC, US

Great suit. Wore it diving in Grand Cayman and was very comfortable on a week of two tank morning dives. It held up like a champ and for like a glove.

easier to layer

from NYC, NY, US

Henderson products are pretty good. I was replacing an old 3mm shortie & decided to go front zip for easier layering if I want to. This will work well

Love my Henderson Shorty

from Seabrook, TX, US

In truth, this is a replacement suit. I used my first one for years. I liked the front zip and found the suit easy to don and doff. My original was lost on a cruise due to a late return. The cruise line replaced it with a rear zip suit. After several uses, I still didn't like the rear zip for a couple of reasons. It was tougher to zip; it did not allow me to loosen the zipper easily when too warm, and it put pressure on my neck that I didn't like and could not adjust. I now have my front zip Henderson and am happy again.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JAMES S  I have been looking everywhere for a front zip ,short sleeve shorty.
RICHARD F  I have been diving since the 70's. My old Henderson front zip shorty is getting a little worn after 700 dives. I love this shorty, comfortable and if you've never had a full front zip shorty you don't know what a treat it is. Other divers are always amazed at how I suit up in 15 seconds. And it's rugged, comfortable and perfect for tropical diving summer and winter. The best.
CHRIS L  Great warm water diver, cheap and light
STEVEN T  I am 5'10", chest 42, waist 34, weight 185. Would ML or L be best fit? Thanks
Michael J  I'm 6'3 220 and the Large fits a little snugly but not uncomfortably
RUTH B  Medium
RANDALL F  Steve, I got your back. I go for the Large. I'm 62 years old… And trust me, over the next couple of decades, you will gain a couple of pounds. So stay on the safe and practical side of life… And get that Large, Henderson Thermoprene 3mm Men's Shorty. If you are one of the few ones that don't gain… Nothing says comfort than a little room between you and the water. I hope my input has been helpful. So go soak your head and enjoy your swim. Your sea quantic acquaintance Randall Flann.
RUSS B  Hello Steven, I’m very happy with this shorty. I think the suits run a tad small. I’m 5 pounds heavier than you but about the same height w/36” waist. I ordered the XL and it’s a bit big but very usable. You’d probably be fine in a Large but the ML might be snug. Good luck, Russ
LONNIE R  You're an in between - ML may fit your torso better but could be a little snug up top - L might fit better overall but could be a little loose in the waist - I'd probably go with the ML
George A  i am 5'6 and have 41 chest but my weight is 184 what size should i get for henderson front zipper shorty wetsuit?
Frank L  Chest and waist measurements are more important than weight. I would try Large.
