I absolutely love this suit. It is incredibly warm and the neoprene is soft and durable. I liked it so much that I purchased the 5mm suit as well. The beauty of the Henderson suit is that the “shorty” legs can be used as pockets holding a slate or notepad thus eliminating the need for pockets.

Henderson makes getting into and out off a wet suit quick and easy. I'm an older diver and to reach back and grab a draw string is difficult. The Henderson front zipper goes from the neck to the bottom of one leg for easy access. I have a 3 mm suit for warmer conditions. I would recommend the Henderson wet suits to everyone of all ages.
Divers seeking a great value will appreciate Thermoprene's balance of performance and price. The material combination delivers greater flexibility and improved features not found in standard neoprene wetsuits, yet at a reasonable cost, perfect for the cost-conscious buyer. Thermoprene is crafted from a high-quality neoprene and a low pill fabric. It has 75% more stretch than standard neoprene, so while it is not as flexible as Henderson's Thermoprene Pro or TherMAXX lines of products, it still boasts significant comfort characteristics. The 180% stretch Thermoprene is noticeably easy to don, pulling over the shoulders and around the torso with less huff and puff than standard wetsuits. Also, the fabric's exterior stands up extremely well to the wear of BC straps and weight belts with its pill/abrasion-resistant exterior laminate.
This 7mm Jacket is made with uncompromising quality. The Jacket has seams that are glued and sewn, which seals off stitched areas and drastically reduces water entry. Front #10 YKK zipper w/ comfort seal to further limit water exchange. Each Henderson wetsuit benefits from five decades of design experience. The Thermoprene cut allows for an optimal fit while visually enhancing the diver's physique. Creature comforts include Lycra trimmed cuffs. Flexibility, comfort and core warmth are all hallmarks of the Thermoprene Jacket, which is now available in an easy-entry, front-zip design. Wear it alone to prolong your dives in tropical waters or pair it up with a farmer john to increase core warmth in cold waters. The heavy-duty front zipper makes getting into this jacket easy on the joints and layers seamlessly with back-zip suits or full-length john. Suit is black in color and available in multiple sizes.

I’m 6’, 230 with 35” waist, 48” chest. Looking to get a farmer John xxl 5mm and a 3x step in jacket 7mm and a hooded vest. Diving in Lake Huron n.e. Michigan. Anyone close to that size can give me recommendations???
MATTHEW D
6'5" 180 wearing the LT and it fits like a glove. For what it's worth I love this suit but the neoprene is tight to get on. There's an amazing difference in donning when you go up to the thermoprene pro.

Graham, as noted above, sizing sounds correct. The 7 mm should give you enough warmth on the upper. The 5mm on the lower will give very good freedom of movement. Based upon water temperatures shown on Google, I would get cold in the 5mm. I'm a little shorter same weight and in my mid 70's, I get cold easily. Hope this helps, Bill

I’m in my Mid 60s and will go with 5mm, 7mm with 7mm hood. I don’t chill that easy but as I get older I chill a bit easier. Thank you for your reply.

I suggest going up one size from what chart says .

I wear the 7mm jacket XXL with just a bathing suit and dive shirt. I have similar chest and waist
measurements. The shoulders and legs are snug, the rest is not.
GRAHAM K
I believe with the 5mm farmer and the hooded vest I should be golden on fit. Thank you for your reply

How warm is it . What water temperature is it good for ?
Marty B
I wore this 7mm shorty in Galapagos in 64 degree water. I used a hooded vest with it when I got cold. I brought the farmer john bottom but it made me too buoyant so the shorty and the hooded vest worked perfect.
Kacey K
does this come in a woman's size 6?
Mario C
Do not have a women version of that suit.
the thickest women shorty that i sell is a 5mm on the link below:
ANTHONY R
Just to be sure, will this fit over a pair of Farmer Johns?
CLOYD B
Tony, I purchased both the Shorty Jacket and the Farmer John and u can tell you I wear both as a combo and they work great.

I am 5.9 and 185lbs and it's hard to zip up without a farmer John on. If you are smaller than should be ok.
RICHARD B
Yes if you size it correctly. Generally the jacket is sized to fit over the same size farmer John bottom.
Luke S
Assuming you get the correct size for yourself. Absolutely. It's nice and toasty.
BARRY N
Yes it will it's the only way I wear it . I'm on my 3rd or 4th of this same suit and doing hull cleaning. The rubber is very soft.
It's beyond human belief.
