My husband and I recently dove Cocos Island on the Okeanos Aggressor and each bought a pair because it was a suggested item due to the challenging nature if the diving and currents. Without them we would have both been miserable for all ten days. The diving was amazing but the depth and the strength of the currents and surge would have made hanging onto buoy lines and rocky outcroppings extremely uncomfortable without them. They don't keep out the urchin spines ( then again, what does? ) but ...we did manage to rough them up quite a bit. They were beaten and stained and when we got home and cleaned them, they looked good as new. They will go everywhere we dive now just in case. Love them!
