These boost work well for me doing lots of shore dives over some rocky areas entrance and exit areas. They're thick enough in the sole but not too bulky to require larger fin pockets.

A great all-around boot, the Henderson Molded Sole Unisex Boot provides a stable platform for negotiating beaches, docks and dive boats. These 5mm nylon-2 Neoprene boots have glued and sewn seams for strength and durability. The Boots strong robust construction features vulcanized rubber heel and toecaps that provide durability in high wear areas. A heavy-duty zipper also means years of reliable service. Water transfer is greatly reduced by Henderson's WEB (Water Entry Barrier) design behind the zipper. A hook and loop fastener keeps the zipper in full up position while finning. Boots are available in multiple sizes and are black in color.

No, the sole is flat. If you think arch support is necessary I would suggest you make an arch support pad, possibly from a scrap piece of wetsuit material or foam, and bond it to interior surface of sole. However, I do not think you will notice lack of arch support while swimming, possibly just while walking.

Should I order a size larger since these are going over a drysuit sock with additional cloth socks inside?

I wear size 7 1/2 wide shoes normally (women's). Per the Henderson Boots Size Chart, the conversion size shows 6. This is my 3rd pair of this same model Henderson Boot that I have purchased over many years as this is an excellent boot. I always get size 6 as it is a perfect fit - not too loose or too tight on my heels and toes - very comfortable; I do not wear any additional socks, etc inside the boots (Florida diver). Per the chart, if you wear a size 9 men's shoe, you should get a size 9 Henderson dive boot if nothing else is worn inside. So I would definitely go up one size to accommodate your added socks. And you can always call Henderson and speak to a rep about it. You can also order 2 different sizes, try them on with your socks, and return the pair that doesn't fit - this is what I did when I bought my first pair of these boots since I wasn't sure how the sizes ran (decades ago).

My shoe and hiking boot size is 9 or 9.5 depending on the shoe. My Henderson boots are size 10 and I wear a 3mm wetsuit sock with them. With the wet sock, they are easy to put on and remove, foot feels good inside. My 3 or 5 mm wet suit cuff is also under the zipper. Remember these boots need a generous foot pocket in your fins because the sole is wide and stiff.

Not sure. I wear these barefoot with a Henderson SemiDry. The boots seem to be pretty true to size.

I just assumed they were mens sizes. Soles are fairly thick. Have used them in bonaire numerous trips with shore diving and they hold up well.

The size 5 was for my wife. She wears a size 5 or 6 in a street shoe and these fit her. As for the sole it is somewhat thick. In fact, she had to purchase a different set of fins as these boots would not fit into her old fins.

#1 I don't wear socks inside my dive booties.
I wear sz. 11 shoes everyday. My Dive booties are also sz. 11. They fit comfortably. i've had no problems.

I wear a size 8 wide shoe, and the size 8s fit pretty well.Unfortunately, the boots were too thick (top to bottom) to fit comfortably in the foot pockets of my fins, and I needed to return them.Be sure to check for "fin fit" as well as "foot fit". Good luck with your choice.

I wear a 9 bought a 9 fit is good. Thin pair of sox if u want. I use these boots for working out in a pool.
