I've had a pair of these fins for years before Hollis bought the inventor out. I met the inventor on a dive trip and he had samples for all of us to try. I tried them and thought, "well okay, I'll buy a pair from John". As I used them, I really appreciated their efficiency, the less stress on my calves, and the amazing control I have in coral reef areas. Since I dive both cold with a drysuit and warm water, I use these fins under all conditions. I dumpted my other fins--split fins, ...Jet Fins, etc. and only use these fins. I bought two more. For someone who has been diiving almost 50 years and has old legs....these fins are great.
Light weight. Great for frog kick. I use them in sidemount. Not the best for power or speed, get F1 bat fins for that, but why would you want to race under water?\
Bought 2 more sets for my son and daughter.
Increase your power to weight ratio with Hollis Gear's new F2 Fins. If you are a traveling diver, looking to reduce weight or just favor a lightweight fin, look no further. The patented F2 is designed to add blade surface on both the down stroke and up stroke to increase your efficiency with any type of kick. The F2 is injection molded using high grade, heavy-duty monoprene construction and uses a shorter blade design which packs easy and improves agility in tight areas.
The F-2 Fin has a vented blade design that reduces stress while accelerating water over the blade. The generous foot pocket will accommodate various foot wear depending on the water temperature. The F-2 Open Heel Fin is available with adjustable stainless-steel spring straps that have angled strap mounts for comfort and a better transition of power. The fin is equipped with multiple strap mounting positions for a fine tune fit. The spring strap assemblies have an easy grip heel tab for quick and efficient donning and doffing. The spring straps are also depth compensating so no need for adjustments while on a dive. Fin is black in color, and comes in multiple sizes.

I wear a size 11 shoe and wear a soft sole 3mm bootie exclusively for warm water diving. Any recommendation on size?
darrick c
Hello, you would need the size XL.

How much do XL fins weigh?
JOE S
they weigh in about 4lbs depending on size.

3.5-4 lbs depending on size

I am a shoe size 9.5 a little on wide side. I just got a size regular based on chart and they feel really big on my foot. Are the springs supposed to be loosely fit?
If not should I size down or use the next screw peg for the spring?
JOE S
You can also adjust one position at a time to dial in on a better fit. But if that doesn't work, then do not rule out trying a different size. A properly fitting fin is important.

These work better with dive boots. You only want them to be tight enough not to move in normal use. Too tight and they will rub blisters with extended use.

I would use the next peg, I had same issue I brought the springs in tighter.

I wear a 10.5 shoe and 5mm bootie but also dive dry from time to time with a 10.5 dry boot. Would L or XL be a better option so I can do both with one set of fins?
JOE S
If you want to use these with a dry suit at any point, then the XL would be a better fit for a 10.5 or 11 size shoe.
KENNETH S
I would get the XL, I wear a US 12R shoe and this fin ranges from 10-13. I wear a 3mm boot warm water diving only and the fit is fine. Better to be a little loose than too tight. The springs do a good job of holding the fin on and is easy to take on/off esp. when shore diving.
Mike J
I wear a same size shoe and my fins are XL and its perfect. Its adjustable.

I wear a men's size 7 drysuit boot. What size fins should I order?
