About Hollis DG02 Nitrox Wrist Computer

The Hollis DG02 Nitrox Wrist Computer is a basic wrist computer featuring 2 modes: digital bottom timer mode and Nitrox dive mode. It s convenient, small size is perfect for the minimalist diver but despite its compact wrist size dimensions, it is still incredibly easy to read.

In bottom timer mode the computer will track your current depth, maximum depth, and dive time but will not be restrained to dive computer algorithms (this mode is not suggested for scuba diving without first planning your dive from tables) Nitrox mode is for enriched air diving and is based on the Hollis Z+ algorithm which is derived from the Buhlman ZHL-16c algorithm. The computer is activated manually or automatically when wet. It includes deep stop and safety stop warnings and timers. The audible alarms are accompanied by a flashing LED and can be turned on and off. When in low visibility you can make use of the backlight for easy reading. Additionally, the DG02 is rated 400ft/ 120m, features altitude adjustments and previous dives can be downloaded to your computer.

Comments about Hollis Gear Hollis DG02 Nitrox Wrist Computer:

Great Computer with many features. I have a few dozen dives on this computer from 40fsw to 135fsw using Nitrox and/or Air and it works flawlessly.

Although not recommended, will get you out of a Deco situation safely. Like the audible alarms which are just loud enough to hear. Simple and easy to use. Would buy again.

Comments about Hollis Gear Hollis DG02 Nitrox Wrist Computer:

Haven't had a chance to actually dive with it (did a chamber dive with it and it worked well) yet but I've been impressed with the decent quality of the DC and it's overall function. It's got everything you need in a basic nitrox capable DC. The PO2 settings, FO2 default on/off ability. Only small issue is there is only one button to toggle everything so it's a little slow but most functions that would be used more come up in the menu earlier so it's not really an issue. Good DC for the price. Downloading is easy.

Comments about Hollis Gear Hollis DG02 Nitrox Wrist Computer:

Although I havent made a dive with this comp yet, I bought it because of its similarity to the Aeris/Oceanic line. The manuals of all three are virtually identical for operation. The Hollis has some of the meters in defferent places but still operate the same. Priced a good hundred bucks below its nearest relative, the DG O2 is well worth the money considering it does everything the XR2 does, but with only 1 button operation. In having 1 button, it makes it easy to use as long as you can keep pressure on that button. It has a backlight which the XR1 does not. It has adjustable Nitrox settings which most comps have these days and is downloadable like the XR2. So in a nutshell, you get a combo of the XR1 and XR2 for half the price. hope this helps

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

            Questions about this item:

Charles R  how wide is the face?
MIKE G  1 3/4 " of clear plastic face and about 2 1/2" total width from edge to edge left to right.
Shopper  I have a DG02. Need to change the battery. I got the door latch off, (per instructions) can't get the battery cover off. How do get the bovver loose? Doug
Joe S  This cover is a pressure plate to seal the battery compartment against the o-ring. Take something flat like a flat pick (not pointy) or a tiny flathead screwdriver to pry it up. You will hear the suction release slightly. I recommend a battery kit so you can change the o-ring. Without that, flooding may happen.
Shopper  How many gases can you load on this computer?
MIKE G  Just one. Per the manual and my experience you can only program one gas at a time. This is NOT a multi-gas computer.
