About Head Volo One Snorkel Fins with Mesh Bag

The Volo uses Mares Optimized Pivoting Blade system (OPB); the Volo is 30% more efficient than traditional fins. The OPB allows the blade to maintain an optimal angle throughout the kicking cycle, whereas traditional fins achieve this only during a small portion of the cycle, OPB produces a constant thrust, which minimizes fatigue and produces fluid movement through the water. The Volo also allows you to use alternate kick strokes not possible with splits fins.

The Volo super channel is designed for the diver who wants the perfect blend of power and efficiency in one fin. The new blade design with a large central super channel and two traditional lateral channels provide excellent thrust while maintaining hi-efficiency and minimizing leg fatigue. The blade is constructed of Tecralene and Thermoplastic Rubber for extended durability. The foot pocket delivers maximum power and evenly distributes pressure over the foot to minimize fatigue. The foot pocket interior features internal ribbing that improves fit, eliminates foot suction and prevents foot pocket flexing, while transmitting-more-power to the blade. All items come in a mesh bag with draw string closure. Mesh bag allows rinsing-and-drip-drying your gear in the bag. Bag can also double as a collection bag. Fins are covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

Disapointed...

New to snorkeling and all the equipment. On my first trip to Bonaire I bought these. Quickly learned I should have bought fins with booties(?) as access to the water was over coral and tough on the feet! Once I did manage to get in the water though, the shortcomings of these fins became evident. The foot pocket would buckle in the middle (arch) of my foot and caused cramping to my foot. There isn't enough stiffness and support built into the fin in the foot area. Also the general strength of ...

Head One Volo Fins

By

from Lahaina, HI, US

I bought these two years ago before moving to Maui. They have held up great. I had read reviews from others who did and did not like them. I swim at least 3 days a week in the ocean here in Maui. As I have said I have used these for almost 2 years and are still in good condition. I have gotten another pair as back up. Even the straps are the originals I recommend these highly.

Also the general strength of the fin was weak aside from the foot area and was easy to get the fin to fold over with a stronger kick. I will replace these before I go again!

These fins look and feel like they came from Walmart They are very short and cheap looking. The price should've been my first clue. Buy a quality set and you'll keep them for years. These won't last 6 months.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
NOLAN H  I Busted out of the nat geo fit travlers in under a year so I wanted something a little more durable. I use Head tennis raquets so why not try the fins.
Sherry S  What is the length of the Head Volo One Snorkel Fins size Med/Large?
Frank L  20 Inches.
QUINLIN C  Would the large size fins fit in carryon sized suitcase?
CATHRYN M  I have the ML and they are 20 inches long....so depends on how long the L is and your suitcase is.
MARTIN W  Not well. I got these as travel fins, they are okay. In hind site a really good pair of fins they are not. I use for laps in the pool. If I was going anywhere with current I would rent good fins, or bring my other set. These are light weight and okay.
