About Head Volo One Snorkel Fins with Mesh Bag

The Volo uses Mares Optimized Pivoting Blade system (OPB); the Volo is 30% more efficient than traditional fins. The OPB allows the blade to maintain an optimal angle throughout the kicking cycle, whereas traditional fins achieve this only during a small portion of the cycle, OPB produces a constant thrust, which minimizes fatigue and produces fluid movement through the water. The Volo also allows you to use alternate kick strokes not possible with splits fins.

The Volo super channel is designed for the diver who wants the perfect blend of power and efficiency in one fin. The new blade design with a large central super channel and two traditional lateral channels provide excellent thrust while maintaining hi-efficiency and minimizing leg fatigue. The blade is constructed of Tecralene and Thermoplastic Rubber for extended durability. The foot pocket delivers maximum power and evenly distributes pressure over the foot to minimize fatigue. The foot pocket interior features internal ribbing that improves fit, eliminates foot suction and prevents foot pocket flexing, while transmitting-more-power to the blade. All items come in a mesh bag with draw string closure. Mesh bag allows rinsing-and-drip-drying your gear in the bag. Bag can also double as a collection bag. Fins are covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

Comments about Head Volo One Snorkel Fins with Mesh Bag:

This is one of the most comfortable fins I've own. I used the Volo one mainly for travel diving and snorkelling. It is lightweight, comfortable even without booties. In warm water diving I use it without booties which makes kitting up a breeze and less stressful.

I've used this in many dives including demanding situation. Recently I used them in Maui and in almost all of the dive the under current was extremely strong and I was still just about able to propel. However, on my last dive I was caught by an up rift current that swept me away from my team. No amount of finning could get me back to my team. (all use full size fins)

So be aware in most cases this fin is sufficient and extremely comfort but if you are in strong current condition I would suggest to get a stronger fins like Aeris Accel or for equivalent comfort to get a split fin.

The Volo One is great with all finning style.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
NOLAN H  I Busted out of the nat geo fit travlers in under a year so I wanted something a little more durable. I use Head tennis raquets so why not try the fins.
Shopper  How long is it?
Chris L  I believe they are between 18-24 inches long. Purchased them for my 11 and 13 y/o son/daughter for snorkeling only. They are small and light enough to pack in a carry on at a diagonal sitting on side. They are too light for diving and probably to light for a large adult. They can be worn without dive booties, but would advise some bootie socks to allow some cushion. Only advise for older kids, not adults unless you have small feet (<9").
