About Genesis Resource Pro

The Genesis Resource Pro Dive Computer Module is a replacement for a Genesis Resource Pro wrist or console models (see SKU's: GNSRPCC6, GNSRPC6). The Resource Pro with Modified Haldanean / DSAT (Diving Science and Technology) Database Algorithm, has an intuitive operation and display, with large easy to read numbers and a clean matter-of-fact screen that gives you what you need to know about your dive when you need it. Computer can be used for air and nitrox diving, and has a gauge mode option. The module measures 1" (25.4mm) thick by 2.1" (53.34) in diameter and requires the use of the rubber shim that was supplied with your original Resource Pro wrist or console.

The Resource Pro can be programmed easily to operate in either imperial or metric measurements. The computer is water activated so there is no need to turn it on before you jump in the water. The computer has a common CR2450 consumer replaceable battery, guaranteeing you won't be on a once in a lifetime tropical vacation with a computer that needs factory battery replacement.

Computer can log up to 50 dives in its memory, so not to worry on a day-by-day bases when you're on vacation having fun, just wait to you get home. Night diving is aided with the HydroGlow back lighting which also comes in handy when on a cave or wreck diving adventure. If altitude diving is your thing the computer will automatically adjust up to 14, 000' (4267.2 meters).

Maximum operational depth is 330' (100 meters), there is an automatic safety stop countdown timer and of course full decompression stop countdowns as deep as 40' (12.2 meters) when required. Computer has both digital and bar graph indicators for nitrogen, oxygen limits and ascent rate.

When diving the Resource Pro computer it will display your dive time remaining (NDL), your current depth and in a bar graph form nitrogen loading and current ascent rate. If decompression is required you will see a bar graph indicating your deepest stop required, total ascent time, stop time and depth of stop, current depth and an up arrow indicating need to ascend to the stop depth. So if you're looking for a great entry level computer the Resource is what you are looking for. Computer comes with an owner's manual

everything you need

We have dived with these computers and their predecessors for hundreds of dives. Simple, easy to use, bulletproof, not too many functions but everything you need. Air and nitrox, logs more dives than you'll make on a trip. Rugged, reliable, and any dive shop can work on them if needed. The battery is not as common as some, but just take a spare or two on your trip and you're fine. No need to spend more money... this computer is all you need.

from Decatur, AL, US

I purchased the computer right before we did a live aboard cruise. During the cruise we did four dives a day and at the end had a total of 18 dives. I was very pleased with the way the computer worked and how easy it was to read. I was going to put it in my console but thought I would try the wrist mount . I was happy with the way the wrist mount worked so I left it in the holder. For the money I would recommend this product.

OK value computer but lacks Oxygen bar

from Milton, FL, US

I ordered this computer expecting indicating bars for nitrogen and oxygen toxicity. After reading the information on the disk provided I discovered that there was not indication for oxygen toxicity, so I traded up for the Oceanic VEO 180 computer which does have both indicators in green, yellow, and red displays. Only a few dollars more. Very satisfied now. I have used this VEO-type computer for years.

Good, reliable, basic dive computer

This is identical to the one I used without issue for over 10 years until, when serviced, a dive shop did not seal it properly and my old own flooded. It works with air and nitrox, is easy to operate and easy to read. Popped right into my console and I am ready for the deep blue.

Works perfectly and was a great price!

Great for everyday use.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JEFFREY K  simple is better than technical. it does what I want.
OSCAR Z  My wife and I dive with identical Genesis computers and have hundreds of dives on them. We have worn ours out! After 15 years some of the digital readout segments are getting dim on our old ones, plus the old ones are air only and they only logged 12 dives before overwriting the oldest dives. These computers are stone simple, reliable, well supported, and do everything a competent diver needs for a computer to do without getting fancy or expensive.
DIANN R  This computer puck replaced an older Aeris model that was in my console and works great. The price at Leisure Pro couldn't be beat!
RICHARD P  easy to use, reliable, and inexpensive.
NEAL R G  very reliable computer. excellent price. top value for all applications. have several others for family members and we all like this model very much.
MARY M L  I am a Genesis fan. I see people on dive boats fiddlaing with this button and that and asking the divemasters how to work their computers. I belong to the KISS theory. If a computer has everything I need, then I don't need more gadgets. My previous Genesis has dived safely with me in Bikini, Truk, Maldives - not just the gentle places. I'm sure the Pro will do the same.
STEVE S  You can dive out of safe profile range and it still works.
Geo F  Will it fit in any country console?
David C  It fits in my old sherwood console. I assume it fits any standard console.
OSCAR Z  Very difficult to answer thT question because even if the outside diameter of the top is correct, the depth may not work
Anisa R  will this fit into my Oceanic Max-Depth Combo Gauge Old Style console?
DAVID D  I am not sure, but if you send me the outside diameter and height of what you pulled out of the hole, I will measure my Genesis and see if they are the same size.
OSCAR Z  It's hard to say without physically test-fitting. We have both an older-style console and a newer style one and this computer fits in both but requires an insert spacer for the older console. You might try taking your console to your local dive shop and trying to fit the computer into the hole where you want it. We also had a submersible pressure gauge go bad a while back and the new one wouldn't fit in the console, so these things aren't "universal fit" by any means.
