Great Depth Guage

This is a great depth guage. The color coded face makes it easy to read at a glance. I use mine mounted on my console with a wrist computer. If my computer battery ever fails at depth, I still have a pressure guage and depth guage to make a controlled asscent.

A Great Backup for my dive computer

By

from Fort Dodge, IA, US

When my first dive computer died, I decided that I was going to create a redundancy system. I removed the computer from my regulator and put this Genesis Depth Module in it's place. I then purchased a wrist computer. The Genesis is not my backup system...should my computer malfunction, I would have this analog gauge available. It helps keep me diving and safe.

Fits Many Consoles

By

Genesis states the diameter of the gauge as 1.75". Just as I expected, 1.75" is the diameter of the dial, not the gauge body. The actual diameter of the gauge is 2-3/16". It fits my circa 1986 Dacor console perfectly and also fits a US Divers Pivot boot and an unknown brand boot that I have. Leisure Pro's shipping estimator is great for Canadian customers. It's wonderful being able to know the total cost of an item including taxes and brokerage fees.

Fabulous Backup

By

I purchased the Genesis Depth Gauge as a back up to my dive computer. The gauge is priced well and serves this application beautifully.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
RONALD J  NEED A BACK UP
GRAHAM S  for a student regulator set-up. easy to read.
Neal L  To replace a DG which died. Works well. I am very happy with it. Since purchase, it hase >>500 dives on it and still is in agreement with my computers.
MATTHEW F  Back up for my computer
Shopper  I am replacing a gauge that is screwed into the Genesis regulator hose, attaching the console to the regulator. Is this gauge threaded to accept the hose attachment?
WALTER M  No, this gauge fits into rubberized consoles by pressing into the console. It just tightly fits into the old AquaLung Pulse console I have as a backup.
dennis d  NO, your presure Guage is threaded not the depth guage
Samuel V  No
ALAN H  This unit is intended to replace a depth gauge in a standard size console. It is inserted into what is usually the uppermost pocket of the console which should have a small opening in the back to allow the pressure of the water to be sensed by the gauge. It does not attach directly to the hose. Only the tank pressure gauge needs to attach to the high pressure hose leading to the regulator's first stage.
David G  The 'Best Answer' offered by Robert R is spot on. This gauge is a puck and will fit into the same sized wrist boot or console. I purchased this to replace my first dive computer. It fit nicely into my aeris console and I now use it now as a back up for a wrist computer. You'll want to check with the lp sales rep for your specific situation, but this puck should fit into a variety of boots.
ROBERT R  This is just a simple stand alone depth gauge not a tank pressure gauge. There is no fitting or threading to it.
ROBERT A  there is nothing threaded on this gauge
BRIAN L  1st are you replacing the air pressure OR depth gauge? The air pressure gauge DOES have a male threaded end to attach the hose. The depth gauge simply pushes into a hose OR console boot & doesn't need hoses screwed into it to function. Call Leisure Pro customer service. Techs are available to help with your decision, if your undecided. Best of Luck.
Lise L  Will this depth gauge fit into my scuba pro G250V console?
PETER W  I don't know. But if it does, this is a fantastic gauge. I am vision impaired and it is seriously easy to read compared to the other three I own, particularly when ascending into shallow water on scuba. I love this gauge.
dennis d  Yes
ROBERT A  Although I can't say with 100% certainty, I do believe this depth gauge is standard console size so should fit most. If not it's still a great buy regardless. ive used it extensively while free diving and it is flawless.
