About Genesis First Stage DIN Conversion Kit

You started diving with yoke style cylinder valves, but you feel the higher cylinder pressure available with DIN cylinders will be an advantage to your style of diving. Well this kit will allow you to do just that, shed the yoke and increase bottom time with this 300 bar (4,350 psi) DIN conversion kit. The Kit is designed for Genesis First Stage Regulators.

Also, Scuba Divers who Travel Overseas will want to have a DIN Adapter in order to adapt to the tanks available at the local dive sites. The Adapter allows you to Easily-Convert your First Stage, if required, so you can use your own gear rather than rental gear! DIN Assembly is constructed from Marine Grade Corrosion Resistant Chromed Brass. Higher Pressure will allow you to Extend-your-Bottom Time. Most HP Cylinders are made from Steel, so you can also remove some of the Weight from your Weight System due to the Lower-Buoyancy-Characteristics of the HP Cylinder. DIN Conversion Kit is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
PATRICK F  din is the future go with it or stay beHIND
Bob S  Does this work with a Sherwood Magnum? It's the newer style I guess since the "Older Version" conversion doesn't work.
AUSTIN H  I would say yes because almost all first stages are going to have the same size port
CHARLIE F  Yes, that is what I used it for!
Frank L  Yes, this will work. Sherwood and Genesis are made by the same company.
Bob S  Thank you. I thought so, but wasn't 100% sure and this product was linked from the Magnum's listing.
JOSHUA H  Can I install this myself or do I have to have my LDS do it? Does it come with instructions?
BRIAN B  I installed my own. But, I have also had training in regulator repair. There are special tools to remove the yoke manifold without stripping the nut that retains it. It take 5 minutes with the proper tools. I would advise taking it in and don't let them overcharge you for the service. Any technician that is worth a grain of salt can do in 5 min.
ANTHONY P  You need a special tool to get the Yoke off. It's a very narrow socket.
JODY C  Hello. This part does not come with work instructions. You will want to have your LDS perform the install and then have them test with a tank setup. It appears a special tool is required to remove the yoke set up. Hope this helps.
FRANCO C  No need to take it to the LDS & have them charge you up to do this simple job. It comes with instructions (if I remember correctly) & all you need is a couple of allen wrenches. Easy peasy! Good luck!
JOSHUA H  What is the torque for the DIN? Is there an install sheet with it?
MICHAEL M  Easy to do if you have tools, taking the yoke off was the biggest issue, you may have to buy or modify a wrench, once you get the nut off it isnt a big deal. Ive been using them with no issues.
