Comments about Force Fin Force-Fin original Polyurethane "Excellerating Fin":

I have had these fins for 2 years now...... feels fast in water and you can adjust whiskers for a heavy current. Must have optonal bungie straps.....very easy to fit on or off while in water. Fins are a bit heavy & negative buoyant, this suits my style. Hard wearing material.

Comments about Force Fin Force-Fin original Polyurethane "Excellerating Fin":

From trying out the Mares triple channel, sherwood kinesis. I loved the feel of Force Fins. Having to have the Force Fin extra Force and the Excellerating fin I will have to say that I love the excellerating fin for all around use and love the efficiency of the fins. Unfortunately, these fins are not competitively priced against other makes and to fully utilize this fin you would need the whiskers which is about [$]in the [...](HINT: Buy your whiskers, here at Leisurepro.) The excellerator is a much better performer than what most if not all the competition has to offer. The excellerator sustains speeds very quickly and a long period of time without the strain of the competitions' fins. No gimicks and purely American made from the fin, to the screws and the packaging box. The price may be hard to swallow but do give the excellerator a try and you will love them for your general scuba.

Comments about Force Fin Force-Fin original Polyurethane "Excellerating Fin":

The description promises a miraculous product, but for the price I was expecting more.
It is not as powerful as a long fin and not very comfortable without the inside pads.

However it is very compact and worked well with the inside pads (sold separately).

Comments about Force Fin Force-Fin original Polyurethane "Excellerating Fin":

Force Fins are maligned by many people, especially the originals. I have owned a pair of the originals, as well as ScubaPro TwinJets, Mares Volo Powers, and Jet fins. The original force fins had so little resistance to the kick that I preferred to call them "Thrash" Fins. I got horrible cramps (and nasty looks) from wearing them, and sold them with little regret.

Though costly, the Excellarating Force Fins are a huge improvement. They're longer, with a higher displacement, and thus feel a lot more like traditional fins, despite the goofy footpocket. Modern angled footpockets are just as good as reducing fatigue as the FF's open footpocket, but the point is, these fins have a reassuring resistance. Which is a good thing.

With the twin jets, jets, and Volos as references, I'm able to go as fast or faster with these. I use the FF's exclusively now because they're not as fragile, and easier to take on and off.

The bad parts - some people hate them on principle, so you'll be teased. The vortex generating spikes get ground down by deck and pool surfaces. And they're NOT for freediving, nothing can replace long blades for that. Otherwise, I don't regret buying them at all.
