The multi-use Nano Spotter waterproof LED light, perfect for all water sports and outdoor recreation, including scuba diving, snorkeling, white water rafting, paddle sports, boating, aviation, surfing, fishing, hunting, backpacking and camping.
The Spotter is ultra-compact and makes use of five super bright LED bulbs, powered by four AAA batteries which last up to 60 hours at maximum output. Unlike the old chemical stick lights the Nano Spotter is environmentally friendly and re-usable. This specially designed and unique multi-purpose LED Light application comes with small colored plastic discs allowing for various lighting options.
The Nano Spotter is perfect for diver identification during night dives, cave dives or wreck dives and allows for easy identification in any group situation. A plastic cone attaches to the flashlight head and emits a diffused light in multiple color combinations. The Spotter is positively buoyant and perfect for signaling below and above the waves.
Featuring a bright beam and a compact body, the Nano Spotter can also serve as a backup Dive light or as a signal light while on the surface. The Spotter is depth rated to 100' (30m) (but has been successfully tested to 130'/40m). The Nano Spotter Light is yellow and gray in color and produces 500,000mcd of light. Light weighs 5.3 oz (150 g) and comes with an owner's manual.

Thank you for the great question. The manufacturer does not states the buoyancy. i imagine that it is very buoyant at the surface and as it nears it maximum rated depth i suppose it would be near neutral... hard to guess..
Sorry that we here have no more information or ways to test it...

Can you change the colour of the filter while underwater from one to another?
IVAN K
Yes. The dome sits on top of the flashlight and the filter is inside the dome. Make sure the string on the filter is present otherwise getting it out is difficult.

From memory I think the filter and filter holder are outside of the sealed unit but as my lovely son borrowed it for school camp and left it there I can’t check for you. 😞😆
I imagine it might be fiddly with making sure you don’t drop any bits if water is dark or if you are in deep water.
I only ever used the plain white light though.
GEORGE H
You can. The filter goes under the white cone, which pulls off of the water-tight lighting unit. It would be difficult with gloves. And You would have to make sure the strap holding the filters remains connected to the light unit, and the light unit remains connected to the diver. I recommend puttong on the color filter you choose before you enter the water. Usually, you would put the light on the back of your tank, so if you were doing it withoug help under water, you would probably have to have it on a 2 or 3 foot line instead.

Yes yes you can its so easy .. I really recommend this light its so amazing you will never regret ;)

No, it is not possible to change underwater.

How many lumens does this light put out? I am in the market for a kayak light. Is this light USCG ok for 2 miles?
GEORGE H
it's for close range, fine for other kayakers in your group to see you, but not another boater approaching you and not 2 miles away. Anyway, a flashlight would usually comply with the regs. If you want red and white marker lights you could hang on your kayak, they are available.
ADRIAN J
I don't know how many lumens has this light. But I have one and it works only on short distance. As an identification mark probably it will not work at such distance. Use a strong or a brighter light

Don't know - 2 or 3hundred yds above water maybe - 2 miles no way
