The SwimsenseÞ is a groundbreaking training tool, which captures critical performance data. The monitor straps onto the wrist like a watch and uses accelerometers, magnetometers and patent-pending proprietary algorithms to identify your swim. Analyze your performance on the device with pace times, distance (meters/yards/laps), stroke count, stroke rate, distance-per-stroke and calories burned across all four major strokes. Performance data can then be uploaded to the FINIS SwimsenseÞ Training Log for additional analysis and historical review. The SwimsenseÞ Performance Monitor provides a revolutionary degree of information, which is key to tracking and improving your swim performance.
Hit the swim button and go; intervals and strokes, including backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle are all recorded automatically. The SwimsenseE' allows you to instantly review 14 of your past workouts on the monitor. The monitor is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and will work for 12+ hours of swimming use on a charge. The SwimsenseE' can be custom set for unique pool sizes, meters, yards, gender and weight. Monitor is easy to charge with the included dock and USB cord. Comments about Finis Swimsense Performance Monitor:
I love to swim for exercise and had been looking for something that help keep track of laps. When I saw this and read about what it could possibly do, I had to try it. It is a really cool product! it keeps track of laps (which I find amazing). It knows what type of stroke you're doing (Free-style, Back-stroke, Breast). It also keeps track of your pace, and you can set goals to try to improve.
There are only a couple Drawbacks that I've noticed so far. One is that the face part is about half an inch thick. It would be great if it were thinner. The Other is that the battery doesn't last very long, but it charges every time you connect it to the computer to sync your workouts, so it shouldn't be too big of an issue.
