How durable is this light. I'm a safety diver and have utilized several lights/glow sticks in the past and I'm looking for a product to attach to my BC. Everyone I've used have broke within a year and I've spent a lot more in the past for water activated safety lights.
I usually dive 0 visibility and also ice rescue.
Is it a strong durable plastic?
This light is awesome. I bought for my bf and he attached it to his flag for night diving. It can be seen for a long distance. He has not used it underwater, but it is durable and I don't see you having a problem with it.
It seems pretty durable. Mine's been on my BC for only about 60 dives including some drysuit dives and so far it's in perfect condition. It is a bit difficult to turn on in the water, especially with heavy gloves. I don't think it would survive having a tank dropped directly on it, but I think it will hold up to normal dive use.
i have just use four time and like it look like it strong
To be honest, I have only used it a few times, only during night dives. I have a friend who zip-tied hers to her bcd and dives with it all the time. Both have survived the summer season. The light feels durable, but I think the plastic of the light cover will easily break if slammed into something so be careful with the way you pack it.
I'm pretty rough on my gear and I have no complaints as of yet.
I'm no diver, but i've put my light through the washing machine (still attached to my running clothes) at least half a dozen times, and it's still working!
Have not tested it submerged to depths
