Welcome to Paradise Yap style.

Yap, one of over 600 small islands and atolls is located in the South Pacific in Micronesia where the mysterious and legendary stone money, ancient traditions and the friendliest people in the Pacific lure visitors searching for a memorial vacation here.

Scuba enthusiasts come from all over the world since this island is known for magical Manta encounters and offers over 50 dive sites where you'll sample exciting sharks, lush walls, macro critter dives, and of course many trips to the Manta channels. This island is a wonderful mix of past present and future, where an ancient culture exists side by side with the 21st century. Located in the Western Caroline Islands, Yap is considered the most traditional corner of Micronesia. It opened for tourism in 1989. Yap offers a unique glimpse into island culture and civilizations far removed from that of foreign administration.

On this island we take a walk through the lush jungles and witness scantily dressed native dancers performing for us in this Pacific island paradise. We are also told the ancient story of the mysterious and mostly gigantic stone money only used on this island. Much of it was handmade in Palau and brought over the ocean by small handmade rafts to Yap. We will also take a land tour and see Japanese planes that were shot down over the island by Americans during World War II. Our host on Yap is the Manta Ray Bay Hotel, and Yap Divers. Join us now on this mysterious tropical island tour.
