The Dive Rite RX-17 LED lighting system brings a new level of brightness to the RX family of lights. Utilizing the technology of the CREE XM-L2 Cool White LED chip, the RX-17 combines maximum brightness with maximum efficiency. With over 4 hours of burn time at full power, a generous light output, and using proven technology and construction, the RX-17 will meet the demands of any diver wanting to light up the darkness.
There are 2-Models to choose from the Standard Lid and the 70° degree Angle Lid. The 70° degree angle of the cord coming out of the angled lid and a longer cord length give divers the option of butt-mounting the battery canister, popular with Side-Mount and Re-Breather divers. The longer cord and angel of the cord coming out of the lid are configured for ideal cord routing and streamlining.
Activated using a rotary switch on the light head, the RX-17 allows divers the ability to mount the battery canister anywhere on their equipment configuration depending on preference, eliminating the need to be able to reach the canister to activate a switch. A tight, 6° degree beam for the hot spot is ideal for signaling while being surrounded by a bright halo, illuminating the environment surrounding the diver. The RX-17 LED light features Dive Rite's exclusive soft hand-mount with quick-release mount (QRM). The Slim-Line nickel metal hydride battery with included Smart Charger does not contain lithium, and is not subjected to TSA travel restrictions. A hard carrying case neatly stores the light and its contents for travel and storage. The Dive Rite RX-17 is proudly designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested in the USA
NOTE: Do NOT plug the battery into the light head while the battery is not in the canister. Even with the light off, plugging the light in with the polarity reversed can damage the light. Always use a fresh, properly charged battery to achieve rated burn times.
