The Dive Rite Nitek Q Advanced Diving Computer is a wrist-mounted, seven-gas Trimix dive computer designed with numerous features and functions that are easy to use making it a dive computer that you'll take on every dive no matter where your diving takes you. With a large, easily readable display and push button operation to navigate through the different modes, the NiTek Q Advanced makes pre-dive programming, diving, and post-dive reviewing easy for any level of diver.
The computer allows for seven programmable dive gases (O2: 8%-99%, He: 0-92%), closed circuit re-breather (CCR) set-point PO2 decompression information, has a dive-planning mode for reviewing no decompression limits (NDL) for the gases you're diving and a dive log that records each dive for transferring later into a logbook (Dive Rite has paired with MacDive for Mac (www.mac-dive.com) and Diving Log 5.0 for PC (www.divinglog.de) where you can download your dives and build a logbook). The computer has visual alarm indicators that help to promote your safety, a clock for time of day, digital compass, thermometer that displays the water temperature during the dive, an altitude meter indicating your elevation when diving at altitude and allows freshwater/saltwater setting for depth accuracy.
The Dive Rite Q Advanced Dive Computer can be set for imperial/metric settings depending on your preference, is housed in a durable, mil-spec aluminum case for handling the rigors of diving is powered by a rechargeable lithium polymer battery that is recharged using a standard mini-USB cable (provided) via a wall outlet, PC, or car charger. A large, scratch-resistant mineral glass viewing port and a dazzling yellow OLED display screen that is readable in complete darkness. The computer uses the well-established Buhlman ZHL-16 algorithm along with a default gradient factor (GF) of 30/75, which can be changed to one of the three preset GF settings that factor in deep stops or shallow stops with the ability to set custom gradient factors.
The computer is altitude adjustable from 0' to 19,685' (0 to 6,000 meters), the thermometer has a temperature range of -40° to 176°F (-40° to 85°C) and the display uses large 24-point font. The computer is depth rated to 492' (150 meters), measures 3.5" x 2.3" x 1" (8.9cm x 5.7cm x 2.5cm) and weighs 8.4oz (238g). The computer comes with a metal back plate (installed), bungee mount cord, 1" (2.54cm) elastic strap quick release clip, owner's manual, and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.
