About Dive Rite Travel XT Wing

The Travel XT is a Lightweight Wing Designed for Single-Tank, Warm Water Diving. Dive Rite's Travel Series of Wings are Small-Profile and ideal for Travel and divers who wear a Minimal amount of Weight. At 25 lbs (11.3 kg) of Lift, the Travel XT can accommodate one 80 cubic feet (12 liter) Tank with no more than 16 lbs (7.26 kg) of additional weight

With its Donut-Shape, the Travel XT Wing provides greater Stability and Control in the water. Donut-Style or 360 Degree Wings promote an even volume of inflation on top, sides and bottom, which improves buoyancy control and promotes a more Efficient, Horizontal Trim. The Travel XT Wing Series is built upon the Legendary Toughness of Super-Fabric Brand Technology, a Technical Fabric Resistant to Cuts, Pinches and Abrasions. This Unique Material has been created with a Base Fabric Overlaid with Tiny Guard Plates, this Proprietary Armored Surface, along with Material Science and Strategic Geometric Patterns, transforms ordinary fabric into Super-Fabric Brand Materials. The material maintains its Flexibility and Breathability, yet keeps Sharp Objects from Penetrating.

Dive Rite has married Super-Fabric with a 1,000-Denier Cordura Inner Shell to create an Armor-Clad Outer-Bag that is Impervious to Damaging Pinches and Cuts. The Travel XT line's Toughness is further enhanced with a Heavy-Duty, Radio Frequency (RF) Welded 210-Denier Nylon Urethane Laminated Bladder. The Travel XT has Urethane Flanges Welded in place which makes it easy to switch out Corrugated Hose and Over-Pressure Relief Valves without tools. The Travel XT comes with either a 16" or 12" (40.6 or 30.5 cm) Elbowed Inflator and a Low Pressure Hose for attachment to the First-Stage Regulator. Wing is equipped with a Lower Left Front Over-Pressure Relief/Dump Valve. A Set of Marine-Grade 316-Stainless Steel Grommet Mounting Holes are used to attach Wing to Harness and/or Singles Mounting Plate. The Travel XT measures approximately (H x W) 21.5" x 15" (54.6 x 38.1 cm) deflated and weighs 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg). The Travel XT Wing comes with Owner Manuals, is covered by Dive Rite's Limited Lifetime Warranty and is proudly made in the USA.

Fantastic wing

By

from Imperial Beach, CA, US

I ordered it in January and it arrived promptly with no issues. After about 50 dives in the Philippines, I absolutely love it. Several people have offered to buy it from me. I use it without a single tank adapter and on a SS plate. It provides sufficient lift for my recreational needs and is extremely streamlined. I have no need for anymore weights but I use a basic harness and a Dive Rite backpad. The whole setup looks really nice and very durable.

Questions about this item:

william m  what's the differend between Travel XP wing and EXP Wing?
ALFRED G  From Dive Rite's web site: Divers may choose from our durable 1680 ballistic nylon EXP material or our even more rugged SuperFabric® brand technology XT material that creates an armor-clad outer shell that is impervious to damaging pinches and cuts, with a 1680 ballistic nylon diver's side panel.
VICTOR J  The only difference between the two is the material used for the wing, which is more rugged and durable in the XP wing. This also explains the price difference.
RALPH C  the durability of the material. my nephew dives the exp, i have the xp. both are tough, but mine sees a lot more travel and abuse (wear and tear) each year.
Shopper  Is the pull dump available on both the 12" and 16" inflator? I want a shorter hose, but also a pull dump. I saw on Dive Rite's website that it was an option but only by request. Can I get this from LeisurePro?
Ben T  The 12" does not come with a rapid dump. The manufacturer does make it but only by special order. We do not stock it with the rapid dump currently and don't place special orders for this bladder. Technical divers prefer no rapid dump and just solid elbows. One less thing that can leak or go wrong. As a sport diver their is no reason why you cant have a rapid dump on a 12" hose.
Shopper  Does the 12" inflator hose also have the rapid-dump where you pull it away from the chest, as opposed to holding it vertical and deflating with the button? Or is that option only available on the longer 16" model? According to Dive Rite's website, the 12" pull dump is available but only by request. Can it be requested via LP? And, also, is there any reason why it would be a bad idea to have a pull dump on a shorter hose? Wondering if there is something other than cost driving what's standard for the 12" hose.
Carlos S  I can deflate just fine horizontally without it.
