About Dive-Rite Primary Reel w/o Drag, 250' (76.2 meters) #36 Line

The genesis of the Primary Reel began in 1984 when North Florida cave divers needed a Reel with 400' (122 meters) of Line in order to reach the Main-Line in the Devil's Cave System at Ginnie Springs. Voila! The Dive Rite Primary Reel was born. The Dive Rite Primary Wreck Reel has 250' (76.2 meters) of Heavy 0.083" (2.11 mm) #36 DuPont Fiber Braided Line, with 350 lbs (158.76 kg) Breakage Strength and a X-Large Marine Grade Stainless Steel Swivel Bolt Snap. The Reel positions the Handle on Top, which helps divers who use a Handheld-Light to hold both the Light and the Reel in One-Hand, freeing the other hand to Work-the-Reel. The Marine Grade Stainless Steel Frame of the Reel comes with a Series of Pre-Drilled Holes so divers can change positions from a Top-Mount Handle to a Side-Mount Handle or a Left-Hand Operated Reel.

The Injected Molded Polycarbonate Spool with T"-Top Lockdown Screw for Easy Grip is Resistant to Breakage and Cracking. The Spool is held in place with a Stainless Steel "C" Clip so replacing the Spool or Cleaning-Up a Jammed Reel is Simple. The Reel is also equipped with a Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Axle and weighs 1.68 lbs (0.76 kg). The Reel is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

    Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
    HARRY C  good price/quality
Shopper  what is the spool diameter for this reel?
PETER S  The spool diameter is 4-1/8" (4.125").
Shopper  What is the difference between Without Drag & With Drag?
LeisurePro S  The drag is an extra screw on the reel that allows you to change the tension on the line. "Drag friction allows you to keep your line taunt while unspooling. With the drag mechanism in place, the nylon lock-down screw makes direct contact with a lightweight metal disk. By varying the tension on the lock-down screw, you vary the amount of drag and it takes just a half turn to lock the spool firmly in place. If you back the lock-down screw off to the point where it makes no contact with the disk, the spool spins freely."
