Used for Fastening a Harness and Back-Plate Securely to a Diver's Body, one end of the Strap is threaded onto the Back-Plate and the other end with a Loop is placed on the Harness Waist Belt Webbing. The Crotch Strap keeps the Harness-in-Place during Water-Entry. By using a Crotch Strap, Divers can prevent their Gear Slipping-Upwards on the Body in the Water, Reducing-the-Likelihood of the Tank Touching the Back-of-the-Head during a Dive. Crotch Straps include a 304-Grade Stainless Steel Scooter Ring for use with Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs). The Ring is also a convenient place to temporarily Clip-Off an Item to Free-your-Hands, such as a Lobster Snare or Camera.
The Slide Release Buckle offers the convenience of an Adjustable Length and allows the Loop to be placed on Waist Belt Webbing behind the Buckle where it can remain. The 1.5" (3.8 cm) continuous Webbing Crotch Strap measures 38" (96.5 cm) in length has a 2,200 lbs (100 kg) Tensile Strength, weighs 3 oz (85 g) and is preferred by Technical Divers who use DPVs for Extended-Periods of Time. Crotch Strap is made in the U.S.A and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.
