About Cressi Travelight Women's BCD, Black/Pink

The Cressi Travelight is a Lightweight Version of a Traditional Jacket BCD with All-Around Lift to provide good Balance and Trim Under-the-Water and Support while on the Surface. The Overall-Weight of the Travelight has been Reduced-by-Careful-Selection of Strong but Light Materials to allow the BCD to be Packed-Down into a very Small Carry Bag that is Ideal for Travelling.

The BCD Bladder uses a Durable Internally Urethane Laminated 210-Denier Nylon to provide the necessary Strength without adversely affecting the Weight and Light-Alloys have been used to make the D-Rings in place of Traditional Stainless Steel. This Weight-and-Bulk Reduction doesn't mean that the Travelight is unable to support a Full-Integrated Weight System with Trim Pockets. The Cressi Travelight BCD comes with the Integrated Lock Aid Quick-Release Weight System that hold up to 20 lbs (9 kg), with 10 lbs (4.5 kg) in each Pocket, and two Additional Rear Non-Releasable Trim Weight Pockets that help Increase-Stability in the Water.

The Travelight is also fitted with more traditional features such as a Rear Kidney and Right Shoulder Pull Dumps, a Inflator Integrated Pull Dump on the Left-Shoulder and Manual Deflation from the Inflator Assembly. A Large Zipped Pocket can be found on either side of the BCD for Convenient-Storage of Accessories. The Travelights Harness System uses Traditional Squeeze-Style" Quick-Release Buckles and Adjustable Straps on the Shoulders, Chest and Waist for Precise-Adjustment-and-Fit. A hook and loop Adjustable Waist Cummerbund provides Extra-Security and Comfort. A Flexible Padded Back Pad with Twin Cylinder Cam Bands provides good Back Protection and Cylinder Security while still allowing the BCD to be Quickly Folded and Packed-Away.

The BCD comes equipped with a 3/8" Low Pressure Hose and provides from 13.5lbs to 20.2lbs (6.1 to 9.2 kg) of Lift and weighs 5 to 5.5 lbs (2.3 to 2.5 kg). Sizing concerns

I would say it runs a tad large. I bought this as a versatile BC my girlfriends could use as I taught them to dive. I believe I have the XS and to fit the first woman I had it nearly tightened to the limit. She was 5'4 and 100lbs with a 36" bust. I would also add that it is extremely adjustable as I have also had a 5'9 130 lb woman with a 38" bust wear it very comfortably. It's a very nice BC. I hope this helps. - Eric, 27. Nice bcd but poor quality

I purchased this bcd because of its small size for ease of travel. However, within the first year, it began to have serious issues: 1. The seal around the shoulder dump valve failed and would not hold in air. 2. Weight clips fall out easily (the clip was engaged and it wasn't holding over the recommended weight). Not fun to have your weight bag fall into the deep when you are getting back on the boat! 3. The stiching has begun fraying and the Cressi logo on the front strap began peeling of...

Just What My Wife Wanted

By

from Jacksonville, NC, US

My wife does not like/enjoy diving because of the claustrophobic feeling she gets due to "all that equipment". I have tried, for some time, to isolate the problem. Turns out it was the BCD's. They were too bulky. She tried on a Cressi Travelight in Bonaire last year, said that she felt comfortable with it. I ordered one, she has walked around the house, sans tank, and said she felt much more comfortable. I'll let you know in May after a week in the BVI's on a sail boat.

My 5th and FINAL BCD

By

from Seattle, WA, US

Over the course of 2 years, I purchased 5 BCDs, looking for the right one. This is it. I now know 5 people that are using this after I had them try mine. First, I'm a curvy woman with a short torso. Regular rental unisex BCDs do NOT fit me. Petite curvy women need the chest strap to be high so that it doesn't hit the bust line, require a very adjustable waist strap (ideally a cummerbund and strap), and love adjustible harness straps from the shoulder to the waist. I have tried two women's vest style, a women's back inflate, a tech-style harness with back inflate, and then this one. I have owned this one for about 100 dives now. The biggest reason that I tried this BCD was so that I could fit it into my carry-on bag instead of checking my BCD. This is AWESOME! IN my carry on, I pack my BCD, Regulator set with console, Fin, boots, mask, flashlight and batteries, dive skin, 2 swimsuits, and enough clothes for 4 days. Here's what I love about it: - Packs down to a reasonable cube - Integrated weights and back trim pockets for distributing weight - Large pockets for my backup computer, flashlight, travel snorkel, etc - Straps are in the right place and adjust properly - 2 tank straps and a padded back - Rear dump valve has a pull on the front - Lots of nice D rings for attaching gear (like a surface marker buoy) The ONLY thing that I would change about this BCD is the direction of the pocket zippers. They close WAY back at the side of the BCD near your waist. You have to contort yourself a little to open and close the zipper. It would be nice if the zipper pull was at the front of the BCD.

For a jacket style BCD it is a great for travel

By

from Dover , OH, US

It is a nice BCD, however I was under the impression that I had purchased a "back float " not a jacket style. I don't like the jacket style but I used it on a dive trip because it was the only one I had with me.

Nice bcd but poor quality

By

from Oceanside, CA, US

I purchased this bcd because of its small size for ease of travel. However, within the first year, it began to have serious issues: 1. The seal around the shoulder dump valve failed and would not hold in air. 2. Weight clips fall out easily (the clip was engaged and it wasn't holding over the recommended weight). Not fun to have your weight bag fall into the deep when you are getting back on the boat! 3. The stiching has begun fraying and the Cressi logo on the front strap began peeling off. Overall, the quality is just poor. It is a shame because other then the aforementioned things, I quite liked the bcd. Thankfully it was under warrantee and Leisurepro gave me a new bcd.

Q&A

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Holly S  What is the max lift for this bcd? Thanks!
KEVIN F  20.2 lbs of lift in the Medium size
Shopper  Is the sizing correct? Does it run big, small, or true?
Steven A  I think it runs true to size. I love mine - getting ready to take it to Martinique and Guadeloupe next week. I think mine is a medium - I wear a M/L in tops.
Beverly R  In my opinion it's true. I wear size 4-6 in tops and my small bcd fits great
THERESA R  I have a more athletic build. Large shoulders. Small chest. I usually wear a large or extra large in shirts. I bought the large in this BC and had to exchange it for a medium. I have all straps tightened all the way, and it is still a little loose on me. I probably could have gotten away with a small. If the person wearing this is curvier they might want more room. Think of the size of the torso not the arms and shoulders. So, in my estimation, this runs a little big.
Sam S  For me it ran true to size. It fit perfect.
ADRIAN M  I bought this BC for my wife. She loves it. I would say "true". It has 3 adjustable straps so you can make it fit. It is VERY light, a fraction of the weight of my TUSA BC.
Renaud-Roland H  I think the size is pretty true, we have the Medium and it matches the size chart.
SUZANNE G  Love my Travel BCD. Runs true to size!
LESLIE J  It is true to size!
DAWN W  I'd say true
MIKE Q  The sizing is correct. They run true.
MIKE G  HEllerbrock the sizing is very good and true. We have had ours for two years and nearly 100 dives with no issues and no color fading. Highly recommend
RUDOLPH H  My wife and I both purchased this BC and the sizes seemed to be close to what we expected. I do not believe thaey run oversized or undersized.
Derrek D  Mine runs true to size and my wife, who bought this one, says it runs true for her as well
ERIC C  I would say it is a tad large. - Eric, 27. South Hamptons
Maggie M  Yes! I'm a petite frame with hips (32 across the back) I ordered a small and it was perfect for me. My gear stays snug and I love that it's super light - I travel all over the world with it as a carry on! I'm typically an xs-small in tops and can wear jeans from size 0-4 depending on brand. I hope this helps.
JEFFERY F  True
JULIETTE M  I would say it's pretty true. and they're great and super lightweight.
Henry M  True.
NANCY R R  Is this considered a back inflate type of vest?
Mike T  Hi Nancy, this is a jacket style BC not a rear inflation. we offer two travel models that are rear inflation the Ultralight and Air Travel. http://www.leisurepro.com/p-csbat2/cressi-air-travel-20-bcd-black http://www.leisurepro.com/p-csbulw/cressi-ultralight-womens-bcd-lilac
STEVE M  Yes. We've been diving with this bcd for 3 years and we love it. Very stable in the water and packs well.
TERESA M  Vest
Daphney M  No
Frank L  No, this is a jacket style BCD.
CECILIA C  Yes
Gulf Coast Diver G  Yes the back and sides inflate.
