About Cressi Travelight BCD

The Cressi Travelight is a Lightweight Version of a Traditional Jacket BCD with All-Around Lift to provide good Balance and Trim Under-the-Water and Support while on the Surface. The Overall-Weight of the Travelight has been Reduced-by-Careful-Selection of Strong but Light Materials to allow the BCD to be Packed-Down into a very Small Carry Bag that is Ideal for Travelling.

The BCD Bladder uses a Durable Internally Urethane Laminated 210-Denier Nylon to provide the necessary Strength without adversely affecting the Weight and Light-Alloys have been used to make the D-Rings in place of Traditional Stainless Steel. This Weight-and-Bulk Reduction doesn't mean that the Travelight is unable to support a Full-Integrated Weight System with Trim Pockets. The Cressi Travelight BCD comes with the Integrated Lock Aid Quick-Release Weight System that hold up to 20 lbs (9 kg), with 10 lbs (4.5 kg) in each Pocket, and two Additional Rear Non-Releasable Trim Weight Pockets that help Increase-Stability in the Water.

The Travelight is also fitted with more traditional features such as a Rear Kidney and Right Shoulder Pull Dumps, a Inflator Integrated Pull Dump on the Left-Shoulder and Manual Deflation from the Inflator Assembly. A Large Zipped Pocket can be found on either side of the BCD for Convenient-Storage of Accessories. The Travelights Harness System uses Traditional Squeeze-Style" Quick-Release Buckles and Adjustable Straps on the Shoulders, Chest and Waist for Precise-Adjustment-and-Fit. A Velcro Adjustable Waist Cummerbund provides Extra-Security and Comfort. A Flexible Padded Back Pad with Twin Cylinder Cam Bands provides good Back Protection and Cylinder Security while still allowing the BCD to be Quickly Folded and Packed-Away.

The BCD comes equipped with a 3/8" Low Pressure Hose and provides from 13.5 to 36 lbs (6.1 to 16.3 kg) of Lift and weighs 5 to 6.2 lbs (2.3 to 2.8 kg). The Cressi Travelight BCD is available in several color options, 5 sizes, comes with an Owner's Manual and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

The Cressi Travelight BCD is commonly used for Warm Water and more. The Cressi Travelight BCD is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Cressi Travelight BCD: Comfortable, Lots Of Features.

    Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD:

Packs into compact space in dive bag for travel. Cressi Travelight BCD worked well while traveling and when we use them in Tahiti and Port Douglas. Easy to adjust and stayed in place did not move on the wet suit as the rental gear did in the past with Sealife camera tethered to the BCD.

      Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD:

I had 10 times of divings in madives.
      1. Travelight BCD gave me the right to use my own gear instead of using rental gear
      2. It was realy light as written in specs
      3. I couldn't find any shortness
      4. It doesn't have backbone for tank, but it didn't bother me at all, and i didn't feel the difference
      5. Useful and enough pockets and hangers
Before purchasing this i had many doubts, but now i'm happy with my decision, and i will bring it to my tour for Hawaii. Bye~ ^^

        Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD:

I purchased this item almost 2 years ago exactly. Tried the first version before the lock aid weight system was improved and sold it before it got wet- the weight system was incredibly stiff.
This version with the improved weight system has been used on 4 dive trips in 24 months, Cayman Brac, Grand Cayman and 2 to Coz. It has only seen about 35 dives total ( yes I was doing other things since my wife doesnt dive)I have experienced a rip in the horizontal binding of an upper shoulder strap pulling out from the binding, another rip with fraying near a shoulder D ring, a weight trim pocket rip and also a pulling away from the binding near the rear of one of the storage pockets. None are too close to the bladder so they may be able to repaired so I can get a couple more trips out. Also the rubberized covering on the bladders (particularly on the front inside of the pockets) is wrkinling and starting to lift from the bladder.
This BC has many great features, but durability is proving to not be one. I would reccomend this with the caveat that it needs to be handled by you between dives. Sort of a conflict of ideals here, a BCD that requires special handling.

          Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD:

Dove new BCD for a week of vigorous drift dives in Cozumel. Very nice. Spent a lot of time at surface waiting for boat and BCD worked very well. For travel it is very compact. Folds up and has a strap to wrap it into a small bundle. 2 lb weights pockets on tank strap are a bonus touch.

Would have gone 5 stars, but one downside showed up-another reviewer commented on clip in weight pouches coming loose, and sure enough returning from a dive one of the forward facing handles on weight pouch caught on boat ladder and popped it loose. Sank to bottom. Bye bye $46 pouch. Heavy current and boat drifting-recovery not possible. On positive side large zip up cargo pockets easily held all weights securely so rest of trip went on with no problem.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
David V  Have been diving for several years and figured it was time to get my own BCD. I usually only get to dive on vacation so I wanted a travel BCD. After speaking with Kevin at the store and trying on this I was sold. It's light and folds up small enough to fit in carryon but still full featured enough to function well. I prefer the jacket style since this is what I have been using.
