About Cressi Travelight BCD

The Cressi Travelight is a Lightweight Version of a Traditional Jacket BCD with All-Around Lift to provide good Balance and Trim Under-the-Water and Support while on the Surface. The Overall-Weight of the Travelight has been Reduced-by-Careful-Selection of Strong but Light Materials to allow the BCD to be Packed-Down into a very Small Carry Bag that is Ideal for Travelling.

The BCD Bladder uses a Durable Internally Urethane Laminated 210-Denier Nylon to provide the necessary Strength without adversely affecting the Weight and Light-Alloys have been used to make the D-Rings in place of Traditional Stainless Steel. This Weight-and-Bulk Reduction doesn't mean that the Travelight is unable to support a Full-Integrated Weight System with Trim Pockets. The Cressi Travelight BCD comes with the Integrated Lock Aid Quick-Release Weight System that hold up to 20 lbs (9 kg), with 10 lbs (4.5 kg) in each Pocket, and two Additional Rear Non-Releasable Trim Weight Pockets that help Increase-Stability in the Water.

The Travelight is also fitted with more traditional features such as a Rear Kidney and Right Shoulder Pull Dumps, a Inflator Integrated Pull Dump on the Left-Shoulder and Manual Deflation from the Inflator Assembly. A Large Zipped Pocket can be found on either side of the BCD for Convenient-Storage of Accessories. The Travelights Harness System uses Traditional Squeeze-Style" Quick-Release Buckles and Adjustable Straps on the Shoulders, Chest and Waist for Precise-Adjustment-and-Fit. A Velcro Adjustable Waist Cummerbund provides Extra-Security and Comfort. A Flexible Padded Back Pad with Twin Cylinder Cam Bands provides good Back Protection and Cylinder Security while still allowing the BCD to be Quickly Folded and Packed-Away.

The BCD comes equipped with a 3/8" Low Pressure Hose and provides from 13.5 to 36 lbs (6.1 to 16.3 kg) of Lift and weighs 5 to 6.2 lbs (2.3 to 2.8 kg). The Cressi Travelight BCD is available in several color options, 5 sizes, comes with an Owner's Manual and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD 2013:

My wife and I purchased two of these BCDs from LeisurePro (one each) recently. We used them for the first time over the July 4th weekend of 2014 at San Carlos, MX. I am 6'-1", about 45" chest and about 205 pounds. I got a large which fits well. I would point out that the cummerbund outer strap (one with plastic clips) is nearly at it shortest point of travel on me but the rest of the BCD fits / adjusts well to my size frame. My wife and I both used 80 cu ft alum tanks for our dives (3 days x 2 tank per day) and had no problems with our tank slipping out of position. My wife is 5'-7" / 36DD and she got a Small which fits her well. The only point I would make about her fit is the cummerbund outer strap is nearly at its full extent of travel on her but a medium would have been too large for her.
The removable weight pockets insert with a nice "click" and we had no problems with them getting in the way or falling out. The trim pockets on the back are roomy; I used 3 pds in one and 2pds in the other for trim. I used 5 pds in each main, removable pocket (soft weights). The performance of the BCDs in the water was very nice; we had no problems maintaining neutral buoyancy during our dives once we got the proper weighting figured out. I did find I needed more weight with my new setup then in past dives but my wife did not. The BCD is very light and folds up very compact making it perfect for air travel which is our primary reason for buying them.

Just got to use this BCD last week in the Jamacia. Used it to complete my Advanced Open Water Cert. Worked great. Light, folds for travel. The best bouancy I have accomplished in years. Let's you level out. Shoulder and poscket intergrated weights work great. Would buy another one.

Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD 2013:

BC worked great and compacts very small. Good flotatin and pockets are plenty large for a light weight travel BC. Only complaint, the one snap broke on trim pocket during about the third day using in Cozumel. I have to pay to return to Leisure pro which will probably cost more than just getting the snap fixed locally.

Comments about Cressi Travelight BCD 2013:

Got upgraded to the 2013 by LP as the one I ordered was Out Of Stock..took this on 13 dives in Utila/Roatan and couldn't be happier. Took some time to get my weights properly balanced by adding 2 lbs to each of the rear pockets, but once that was sorted out there were no issues at all. Easily adjustable. Jacket style, so sometimes you have to get verticle to let all the trapped air out, even when using the pull cord dumps. Don't appear to be any signs of wear after a couple weeks of use on boat dives.

            Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
TERRY K  My BCD was old. Several other members of our family have Cressi BC's and are very pleased. I also needed to lighten my load after back surgery and love the intergrated weight belt.
KEITH H  just ordered a travellite bcd 2013. Order is still being processed. I ordered an xl. I am 6'4" and weigh 230. My chest is 45 and my natural waist is 43. Did I order the rite size or do we need to intercept the order and change it to a large?
            RYAN H  Should fit fine..
Mary H  We are currently searching for light weight travel bcd's as ours have bit the dust. We are interested in the Cressi travelight. It seems to have excellent reviews. I am hesitant on what sizes to purchase for each of us. My husband is 6'5" and weighs 245 lbs and I am 5'5" and weigh 117 lbs -Sizes?
Steve S  Great BC for travel! For your husband I would recommend a size XL. For you I recommend an XXS. If either of you do not like the fit, you can exchange for a new size using our PFF Guarantee.
