tough to beat

Does exactly what it should: supports the tank and provides floation. Nothing sexy here. Good pockets and sufficent rings to hang your other toys on. Get the 'Pro' if you want W/I. So far I've used it on six dives and everything has worked perfectly. Word to the wise: There's not a lot of adjustablity in the waist area. So get the right size. At 6'1''/185, the (L) is a little loose in the waist for me. The (M) would have probably been a better fit.

Totalmente satisfeito

from Campinas, São Paulo, BR

Muito contente com o equipamento. Estou totalmente satisfeito com o produto. Ele cumpre aquilo para o qual foi feito.

Excellent BC

from Middletown, CT, US

This BC is exactly what I was looking for. Its a basic BC but its reliable and very durable. I do a lot of diving in the Ct River so I go through BCs pretty quickly and need a BC for ruggedness without spending a lot of money. Its a no frills workhorse. Will be buying them again in the future.

Great BCD for the money

from Wolfeboro, NH, US

I'm actually quite impressed with this one. It's well built and light. I thought the "light" might mean "cheap" but it really didn't. It's super basic, but rugged. Just what we needed. Diving can be a super expensive sport if you get sucked in to the higher end stuff. It's not necessary for our family...

The little BCD that could.

from Pensacola, FL, US

We rent these at the shop where I work & I was so impressed with them that I bought one for myself. Couldn't be happier.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ROSS C  good stuff good price.hassle free.timely arrival.consistantly!
ROGER M  This BCD is great.Simple and strong. It has every thing you need.I started diving in 1968,and own 3 BCD's.I use this one the most. I even took it to Grand Cayman in April. It is light for traval, yet full inflate jacket.
RAYMOND S  From viewing the BCD features on your website - Great!
VIOLETA A  Was the only one left in a Small size with the package I got.
EARL T  As a new diver, I didnt need a bells and whistles BC to go scuba diving. Now that ive got some down time and looking to advance my diving skills, a new BC is just around the corner. Great starter BC!
KRISTOPHER S  Is it weight integrated?
FRANCOIS P  no weight. You need a separate weight belt.
TROY G  No. Had to purchase weight belt to augment.
Cesar v  No, is a classic bc and a workhorse.
MEGHAN C DENNIS B  No it is not
MICHAEL J  No it's not. Mike in AZ.
MICHAEL M  No. But it does have pockets on each side with velcro flaps as well as sleeves behind that where you can put weights. I would recommend using the pockets though since the weights could slip out of the sleeves if you turn on your back
BRUCE N  I you are buying the same one as me, yes it has a pouch that you can insert weights into, but you can not take the pouch out of the BC. It unfolds, place the weight in and fold up and secure with snap
Shopper  How does the genius BC unit compare with the cressi BC?
Norm F  Not familiar with the genius BC. The Cressi BC I bought I used on one trip and found a long rip penetrating the air cell after unloading gear from a dive boat. Felt outer shell should have been sturdier and junked it and never bought another.
