Would a size large work if I am 6'1", 34" chest, and 145lbs? Too tight length wise? Or would an XL be better and hopefully there is not too open space in the chest area? Would the sizing be the same for all cressi shortys?
Hi - I'm 5"11 175lbs 41-42" chest and purchased an XL but it was too tight and I had to exchange it for an XXL. The XXL is still a bit snug but its ok. These suits are cut small. Good Luck
A large would not work, I would go for the extra large
Tim, I'm 5 11 and weight 190 pounds. I purchased the XL and found the body of the wet suit is too short and very uncomfortable for me. These wet suits almost seem to be mis sized by one sizing. I've purchased wet suits before so I thought it would be a no brainer.
I ultimaly ended up buying a EVO sized XL from Divers Direct when I was on business in Orlando. Fits perfectly. The Cressi is well made but the metric to imperial size converstion is way off.
I am 5'9'' and weight 163 lbs, chest 39'' and L size fits snugly. I would think 'L' lenghtwise would certainly not fit. So I would would go for XL.
I purchased an XL for my husband, 6'3" 220 lbs, and it was way too small. But it would be huge on you. I think you'll need the large for length, but it may still be too big in the chest for you, and around the leg and arm openings. Cressi wetsuits run the smallest, so it is a good choice, but you might need only a medium. Unless you have a long torso, the medium will give you a good fit. I wear a men's medium, at 5'10" and 140, and it is not too tight.
My brother is 6ft 4" and weighs 165 and a 40 inch chest and the XXL fits him pretty good. I would have to say to go with the XL.
They run small, so go larger. One thing to note while this shorty is comfortable, no zipper digging into your back, it's front zipper usually means getting someone to help getting it off.
I am a woman so I can't answer
