About Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator

The Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator consists of the Ellipse 2nd stage and a Balance Piston 1st stage Regulator The Ellipse uses an elliptical housing for the second-stage regulator which is made from hi-tech polymers All the internal components of the Ellipse are a dependable high performance downstream valve design Once the valve has open the air is channeled by injection to the liquid silicone mouthpiece creating a venturi-effect enhancing the performance On the top of the housing there is a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive switch

The AC10 1st Stage Regulator is a balanced high performance flow-through piston design that has been produced by Cressi for many years The AC10 delivers a constant performance regardless of the diver's depth or the amount of cylinder air pressure With the continuous reviews and improvements over the years all the air passages inside the first stage have been completely redesigned and considerably increased so as to give the excellent performance that AC10 offers today Equipped with 5 low-pressure ports on a swivel turret and two high-pressure ports on opposite sides of the body allows excellent hose routing

The Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator is commonly used for Warm Water and more. The Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator: Comfortable, Effortless breathing.

Comments about Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator:

Not sure why previous post mentions weight being an issue this is a lightweight reg for me. Performed great, bought the ellipse octopus and tried them both at 100ft in Coz. MX. No problems at all. Effortless breathing at depth. Sure glad i went with the balanced 1st stage vs. lower end cressi regs. This is a great deal for the price paid. Good for travel.

Cons: Reg would free flow rather easily when dragged through the water inverted but some see that as normal (reg's should be attached to you while diving anyhow!). Very easy to adjust if this bothers you though. No protective sleeve to protect the hose to 2nd stage connection (but this is minor and is usually found on high-end regs.)

Comments about Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator:

the mouthpiece was uncomfortable, the reg is SUPER heavy, so the first order of business was getting the seacure moldable mouthpiece for this beast, the purge is super stiff and really hard to use without two hands. I think I would have been happier with the Subgear Cayman, but this does the job.. slowly leaks even after it got serviced.. overall i give it a 5/10

Comments about Cressi Ellipse AC10 Regulator:

Great piece of equipment to use. My max dept was 145' with this and several 130' average dives, I have never had a issue with it. East to take apart if you ever have a reason to take it apart! BUT BUT BUT, almost 100% the same as the Cressie Ellipse Octopus. Octopus purchase would save you major saving if bought instead. Overall its great and stylish!

I purchase this product before going to Moorehead city North Carolina. I dove two wrecks one at 105 feet and the other was at 95 feet. I could not tell the difference between 25 feet or 100 feet breathing was truly effortless.
