About Cressi Mini SPG (Imperial)

The Mini-Manometer Pressure Gauge Luminescent Dial reads from 0 to 5000 psi. For At-a-Glance Monitoring of Air Pressure the Instruments Face is divided into three different Colored Zones: the area from 600 psi and below is Highlighted-in-Red with a Solid-Bar and Red Stripes. If Gauge is used on Deeper Dives, the Red-Scale Extends and fades to 1,300 psi, this provides for Added-Reserve-Air Indication required at Greater-Depths. From 600 to approximately 3,000 psi is Green and from 3,000 psi to end of scale is Blue.

The Front Glass Lens is made to act as a Pressure Relief Valve. In the event of a sudden Increase-in-Pressure inside the Instrument, the Glass-Rises-Slightly, allowing the Excess-Pressure to Escape. The Instrument is Housed in a Small, Modern Shaped Boot, made from Polycarbonate and Desmopan, (a Thermoplastic Polyurethane) two materials that guarantee protection from Shocks, Scratches and which, at the same time, is very Lightweight. The Pressure Gauge Housing is Durable Chrome Plated Brass. The Gauge Boot has an Attachment Point for a Clip or Lanyard Pressure Gauge is equipped with a 7/16" Threaded High Pressure Hose, is made in Italy and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Comments about Cressi Mini SPG (Imperial):

After having this, I decided I would also like a depth gauge to backup my computer. Options are to replace this with a double gauge, or add a hose mount depth gauge which is much bulkier.

Do yourself a favor and buy the dual gauge.

Comments about Cressi Mini SPG (Imperial):

Both my wife and I use wireless dive computers with a sending unit on the 1st stage of the regulator.

In case of battery failure, and to have a second source of information we have been using mini-gauges for about 8 years.

Finally those gauges quit working so I ordered two of the Cressi Mini-SPG gauges to replace them. I selected them because of price, reputation for quality, and the fact that now that our eyes are getting older this new gauge makes it easier to determine quickly how much gas is left.

We've only done a few dives with them so far but really love them. They are much easier to read than our previous gauges of the same size due to the colored background on these gauges.

Comments about Cressi Mini SPG (Imperial):

Nice and clear little pressure gauge. It seems to be tuned to be pretty conservative. I didnt have the time to independently verify this but on three different tanks it showed 200 psi less then the shop claimed they put in the tank. I suppose its not a bad thing as long as you keep that fudge factor in mind.
