Cressi-Sub Ellipse Octopus

Although the thing is supposed to have a pre-dive mode to prevent free-flows, I found it to go on free-flow quite often. The purge button needs to be pressed with a hammer to operate.

Great Octopus

By

I own this octopus and have made 11 dives with it. Although with the exception of breathing through it for a few seconds to make certain that it was working I have not used it for any extended amount of time. For the test it worked perfectly and was easy to breath through.

Alot of free flow

By

I bought this product as a newer diver wanting to stop using rental equipment. The reviews on many sites listed this as a great value for the money. It works but it does free flow ALOT. It does not like to be floating at the surface and that seems to be where the majority of the free flow occurs. My dive master adjusted it and it still seems to free flow. Since it is a secondary it will work for now but eventually I will probably replace it.

Cressi Ellipse Octopus by Cressi

Nice no problems. I tried it out under water worked fine. It is a back up and I did use it to fill a lift bag, other than that no worries whatsoever with it.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MR A  Hi name is Bruno Andujar,I am Scuba Diver. I bought this item because the price and quality is good. I will use for my dive school and shop as well.
KATHRYN P  Came with the package I purchased.
YURI D  Very good quality on low price.
Gustavo M  Does it come with a hose?
Mike T  Hi Gustavo, Yes this come with the hose already attached to the second stage.
Deborah T  Yes, if you look under specs it says that it has a 39" (100 cm) hose.
Da Z  I just received this ocotpus from you today. When I breathe out through it, not been in the water yet, I get a flapping sound on exhale. What causes it? Can I correct it? Should I be concerned? The noise really bothers me. It breaths in and out good on both the + and - position. What should I do about it?
JAMES L  The exhaust port/valve is not being dampened (excuse the pun) by the water. I have other (ancient regs. that do the same thing). My wife did not notice a problem with hers when we tried it out in the water.
Frank L  Out of the water, most second stages will do this. Its the vibration caused by the diaphragm. There is nothing wrong with it, and once you get it in the water, it will work fine.
