About Cressi Geronimo Elite Mimetico Speargun

A new version of the outstanding camouflage Geronimo Elite, created especially for those who prefer nuzzles designed with use for circular rubbers in mind. The new nuzzle is extremely hydrodynamic and compact the standard model sits a single circular rubber, provided with the gun, but it is ready for customization with a second one.

The rod adheres to the fuselage until the trigger is released thanks to the specific course taken by the line over the head itself. A number of improvements have been added to the handgrip the rod's release mechanics has been updated, the grip itself strengthened, a solid ring inserted for the line, and a V-shaped pointing notch added on the loading sternal support

Comments about Cressi Geronimo Elite Mimetico Speargun:

On one band, this gun is CRAZY powerful. Taken down grouper up to 30" & large cobia with no problems at all. The reel is a nessesity & works well. You CANNOT chest load this unless you have 5' long arms. I made a small pad that fits in my belt & belt load to the cheater fin & then move up to my chest to load the rest of the way. You MUST have a shirt with a chest pad - even then, you'll get bruises. You do NOT need a second band on this gun. The gun tracks well side to side & is perfectly balanced in the water. The shaft is pretty durrable but thin & bends on impact. Not the best gun to use around rocks b/c of the power combined with the thin shaft. I bent mine on one trip & dulled the point. The last trip, while taking a hog snapper, it got stuck so deep in the coral that i had to break the tip just to get it back. Most of this can be avoided if I was more comfotable shooting from 10' or so - I just shoot from 5'. The only real "problem" is that no one carries the spare shafts! In my opinion, if LeisurePro sells the gun they should sell the spare parts. You BADLY need to carry a few spare shafts & bands (although the band is constructed well & will likely last longer than typical bands). All around I'd call this gun the sniper rifle of the seas. I've used american style guns & they do work better for reef/rock hunting in general, but I wouldn;t trade this one in on one. This gun looks AMAZING out of the box & is a true experts gun.

Comments about Cressi Geronimo Elite Mimetico Speargun:

I bought this gun hoping for something easier to load and use. I am used to the American style with 2 or 3 bands - typically a JBL, I have a Woody Elite and a Magnum and they are great and Im able to load but its a pain. I figured this single band would be easier, but fact is I cant load it at all. Not sure if I simply lack the strength or technique. Im sure once a person gets it down though it will be a great gun
