Can you put a regular band that is not a cressi?
Yes, you can use either any other euro-style bands (pair slings or circular) with 16mm threaded connectors, if you are using original wishbone. Or you can buy particular open-muzzle for Cressi Geronimo Elite (appox. $20) which fits to Geronimo 2 and can use absolutely any bands on the market. I have chosen the second variant and very happy. Good luck.
Yes you can just get the rigth size ....and you can add one more if you like
Yes. You can put any brand of sling on this gun. Just make sure that the bands are the correct size.
Christopher N is incorrect. The gap in the tip is made to hold a band, as it is in most euro guns. Also you can change to dynema or steel cable wishbones if you file the notches smooth on the spear shaft. This gun is made to be able to convert into an open muzzle gun, and in doing so you have to put a circular band through the muzzle tip. I also suggest not buying a Riffe or any manufactured band, but rather buy band rubber by the foot and make your own bands.
This gun will take 14 mm screw in bands from any company and will also take circular bands. You can get euro adapters and make your own screw in bands or circular bands. The muzzle will also convert to an open muzzle if you wish. I love the design of this gun and it is my favorite gun for shallow reef hunting.
Ya I put new bands on my gun cus the ones that came with this one were way too stiff
Well if you look at the photo provided of the gun, there is a big enough hole in the tip to run a riffe band thru, But it may not be made to handle stress there. Besides that, the part of the band meeting the shaft needs to have the piece for fitting into those types of shafts. In summary: yes you COULD, but it could be unsafe to run a band through that gap in the tip.
Yeh as long as the threads are the same size
There is a spot for an extra band, but the original at least had to screw into place as the Cressi band does.
