can I use these with open heel fins, I want to get rid of my tall boots?
Yes they are high enough in the back for open heeled fins.. Bought these for my wife who prefers the low style boots. Very light weight. I would prefer they had a more rigid sole, but since we primarily do boat diving it's not that big of an issue.
These booties work perfectly with open heel fins. I have used similar ones for years. I purchased these for my wife. Jon
I used them with my open fins and they were great. I did wear some bicycle (thin) socks underneath to make sure I didn't rub any blisters, but they made getting the fins on and off easier than my old boots. I'll probably never take my boots on a boat dive again.
Yes you can, I bought these after I get rid of my high boots, actually they are more comfortable, easy to put in/off and dry very fast.
They work great in my Apollo Bio w/spring straps and my wife uses them in her Atomic fins also with spring straps.
I did use these with the open heal, but they rubbed a bit and made uncomfortable at times. Nothing terrible, but something to look out for.
Should be no problem at all. There like a comfortable slip on slipper with a nice grippy bottom.Just watch you fin strap stays on the slipper and not the top of your heal.
Our dive shop set us up with all weather gear when we started and my wife really only likes to dive in the Caribbean. So I have some gear that really doesn't make sense. I wish I knew than what I did now.
Yes, I use these with my open heel Sherwood split fins for the same reason. I got tired of the tall, hot boots while diving in the Caribbean. These will work just fine.
Absolutely. My wife and I both use these . Ditch the high tops
