Help? I tried on the Large and Medium. Since my weight, height, etc. falls in either category I need advise on sizing I have to pull the chest straps and belly straps all the way on the Large but only half way on the medium. Large feels loose, medium is snug. I am unfamiliar with a back inflate as to how it should fit, loose or snug. Thanks for the help.
These run a little big.
I am 210 5'8" the med fits me fine.
Al or Steel tanks are both great.
The back inflate does not affect the fit at all.
Get the one that fits you snug but comfy .....
I prefer a snug fit with a back inflate. It will help you on the surface when you floating for sure. It also allows you to be a little more compact in tighter diving situations
I would get the medium, I would not like to feel like I am "swimming" inside the BC - if the large is providing too much movement. Besides, if you only need to pull the straps halfway on the medium, you can always loosen it a little if you don't like the way it feels in the water. Make sure you don't pull the shoulder straps too much, it will "shorten" the BC and your head will hit your reg first stage. However, if you are planning in the future to have a thicker suit, having extra room may also be a good thing. Safe diving.
I would recommend the medium. It should feel snug without being too tight. It should not feel loose. And it appears you still have have room on the medium for adjustment on the straps for further adjustment. If you will be using a drysuit with this you may need to go with a large however.
It depends on where you plan on diving....if you are going to dive only in warm tropical water then the medium would probably work...if your going to be using a 7 mill wet suit or dry suit then you would want some room for adjustment....hope this helps
