I used this BC on 7 fresh water dives before sending it back. The first issue was that half of my weight fell out because of the way the weight pocket was designed and sent me plummeting to the surface. The last 2 times I used the BC the power inflator leaked air into the BC, some times fast, sometimes slow, again sending me to the surface. Luckily I was in shallower water during these events because all of these issues could have caused serious injury.

Comments about Cressi-Sub Aquapro 5R Buoyancy Compensator:

Used this in frigid Colorado fresh water during OW certification and took to Bayahibe, D.R. for AOW certification and numerous dives. Performed excellent for wreck and deep water (115'), night dives, and checking out reefs. Fit easily in luggage and light weight, although mine is a XXS so probably wouldn't weigh much anyway. lol Love the pockets, d-rings, several deflation points for buoyancy control, and easy to manually inflate. The weight pockets are nice, but can't "remove" when doing boat diving when coming out of the water. Even with my small size, I never found it that much of an issue when coming back on board. Plenty of clip points if needed for additional weight for initial descent, which I used as I was a little too buoyant with my wetsuit and weight I had on. But was able to easily take the clipped weight off and secure to dive line for lighter weight at depth. Also own a Cressi 5mm and 7mm semi dry wetsuit. Haven't used the 7mm yet, but the 5mm is perfect! Superb products at incredible prices and perform along the ranks of higher priced brands. Definitely will recommend and buy future Cressi products!

Comments about Cressi-Sub Aquapro 5R Buoyancy Compensator:

I got this BCD and used it for my Rescue Diver cert. and it's the one I'll be using for upcoming Divemaster training. Good fit, nothing got in the way while doing unresponsive dive recoveries or in-water rescue breathing. It seemed very durable and was very adjustable. It was my first BCD purchase, so obviously all others that I've worn were rentals – thus I've got quite a comparison range. Maybe I'm biased because this one is "mine" but it certainly is one of my favs. that I've worn. I would certainly recommend this – especially for the price.

Comments about Cressi-Sub Aquapro 5R Buoyancy Compensator:

1st review after 2 dives - Purchased this as a replacement to my damaged Scubapro. I was very happy with the former and will always compare this with that. Today's use was on a wreck & a reef it performed good. I achieved the my perfect buoyancy in no time and had no other problems to share. I had no problems with my photography either. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend this.... Will re-review after i use this for another 20 dives or so. May be (only a "may be") the lift in this less lesser than the Scubapro. That is negligible!!!

Awesome BCD for a great price. Used this BCD during my Open Water Training and decided to purchase it. Used this BCD while on vacation in the Carribean and in the cold waters of Gloucester, MA last November. Warm or cold water this BCD performs great. BCD also worked great during a deep dive to 100 feet.
