Sturdy and feels durable

By

I purchased these boots to wear over neoprene socks while working underwater (I don't wear fins for the work I do). That combo is very comfortable and feels like it will last years compared to regular booties which barely make it through a year.

Solid Boot

By

Have owned the boots for a few months and have used on 40+ dives, I have no complaints. They protect the booties of my dry suit, are comfortable, well made and I don't even know I have them on when I'm in the water. So far, have held up well. Only complaint is that I had to buy another set of larger fins, but that would likely be the case with any boots you would purchase.

Good all around Drysuit Boot

By

These fit correctly to size, little slippery on the boat ladder, the ankle strap is useful for keeping the boot from slipping off and a place to hold the laces, not sure why they are so expensive, could likely buy a boot of this quality for thirty bucks in the mall.

Nice and light weight.

Nice fit to my Drysuit D9 by Waterproof brand. This is very light weight to use.

Great product

By

Needed a pair of boots to use with my drysuit that has neoprene socks. Had a drysuit with trilaminate socks that were terrible, don't get that if you can help it. Even latex socks would be preferable over trilaminate. I digress, had rockboots, they were ok, so I thought I'd give these a try. Very happy so far, comfortable and I like the strap at the top, it helps contain the laces.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MICHAEL B  7 years and a lot of wear. No repairs yet. Does a great job.
ANDREW K  I didnt like rock boots , these feel more like a sneaker
KEN L  Bare is a good name just watch the sizing I originally bought 11's because thats what I wear but ended up getting 9's and still have some room
ROBERT P  I bought a Nex Gen suite and went with Bare boots.
DARRYL B  looking at the bare trek boots, do they run larger then regular shoe size?
Stanley S  Yes, they are like 1 nr biger. I use regular nr 8 and this one which I received looks to me like 9 - 9.5. So I mean the size of the boot is automatically adjusted for drysuit.
CURTIS B  Order the size that you would normally wear. They are oversized,
ed n  Yes, I wear a 10 1/2 wide or 11 in shoes and boots. I ordered an 11 and they fit fine with wool socks and the neoprene footies on my drysuit. I had to get xxl fins to accommodate the big shoes. I recommend rockets or turtles (heavy fins to keep your feet down when wearing a drysuit
JEFFREY K  In my case (size 9) they were perfect. The Laces make it a pain to get out of the boots, but the hard sole is well worth the work. I keep them in Bonaire, where it can be very painful making an entry without them. If you need to you could likely walk quite a distance with these on, even wet.
richard s  i have the size 10 bare trek boots. they do not fit into either of my pairs of fins that i own. i could probably fit a size nine boot instead. i am wondering..... what is the width of the size 9 at the widest part ? i am hoping they are narrower so they will fit my fins. i don't want to buy another set of fins.
MICHAEL B  I will suggest getting fins that are designed for drysuits.
MICHAEL B  If you are trying to dive in a drysuit with fins that you dive with wetsuit boots. Drysuit requires a heavier/stiffer fin anyways. Your not going to get a drysuit boot inside a wetsuit dive fin.
SILVIO M  Hi, You will have to get fins!!! Dry suit boots are bigger and in most cases there is no way you can use the same fins you use to dive wet to dive dry. In scuba your never stop spending. I mean, investing.
GREGORY G  I checked my boots and I also have a size 10...sorry I'm no help but I would imagine the width of the 9 is only a quarter of an inch less in width.
MICHAEL B  You'll need to get wide heavy drysuit fins. Reg. wetsuit fins just won't fit or have the stiffness to move a bulky drysuit anyways. Just part of the program with a drysuit.
ANTHONY C  Sorry Richard. I have size USA 11 ( UK 10 ). Dont know about the size 9. Had to buy a new pair of fins. Wont risk having cramps on my toes wearing a tighter boot, besides I'll have room for thicker socks if it gets too cold. Yeah buying more gear sucks but you wont regret it when it come to a comfortable dive. Ant
CURTIS B  Richard, I have both Trek boots in sizes 9 and 10. I measured at the widest part of the shoe on both of them. The 9's are 4.25 inches and the 10's are 4.5 inches. I hope this helps you.
HARLEY M  You'll need to call/email Bare customer support for this one. LP asked me to answer you, but I wear a size 12 ;-) P.O. Box 1720 Blaine, Washington 98231-1720 United States T: 604.533.7848 F: 604.530.8812 E: dive[at]baresports[dot]com
