Can you wear this under your wetsuit? I have a 7mm wetsuit that is slightly too large for me and wanted to wear something like this under my suit.

Maybe? Depends how much room in the other suit!

I don't know if t hat would work. My daughters and I wear it over a 7mm suit and that works absolutely great. My suggestion is to buy a better fitting(smaller) 7mm suit and wear this over it.

You might be able to. It would depend of how large your wetsuit is and if you are diving in cold water. I wear a size 12 wetsuit and a size 16 vest. That is in puget sound where the water temp is in the 50*. Any warmer water and I would be so hot I couldn't wear it. Remember that's 14mm of neoprene on your core. I think you'd be better using something lighter weight

Your 7mm wetsuit would have to be a lot more than "slightly" large for the Bare to fit under the suit; otherwise, it'd be way too tight to zip up let alone be able to breath. I bought a Henderson Women's jumpsuit, size 8s, 7mm, and wear my Bare size 12, 7mm over it. Maybe that size differential will give you an idea. When wearing a shorty over the jumpsuit, it's important to get a larger size - enough to be snug, but roomy enough to breath without discomfort.

Yes, this is actualy what I am doing. I tryed both ways - under my 7mm or on top works well.

Hi there, I worked for four years as a scuba diving instructor and have logged over 2000 dives. In my experience, I would buy the suit and try it on underneath your wetsuit. Typically, I wouldn't wear this wetsuit underneath, however, I don't know you or your body, or the 7mm that you currently own. My only concern would be that you might have a lot of water sloshing around inside around the arms and legs, and that will not keep you as warm. I would also recommend considering a skin suit/sharkskin suit to wear underneath your normal 7mm wetsuit. That might help more to insulate your body than wearing a shorty like this underneath. I would recommend purchasing both and then trying them on underneath your current wetsuit that you own to help you decide. Hope this helps!
