About Bare D6 Pro Dry HD Suit, Black

For over 10 years this suit has delivered the ultimate performance and durability and has become a favorite among sport and commercial divers. Now offered in and HD version, this "workhorse" comes standard with a metal dry zipper and extended Kevlar knee pads for added durability and protection. Now with wider HD seam tape to keep seams strong and leak free for a lifetime of use. Bare's constantly implementing advancements in design and construction into their suits. With the D6 HD, Bare's NST process (No Stitch Technology) uses double heat tape technology and a wider HD seam tape to securely seal seams while maximizing the suits overall stretch characteristics. Inner fabric is a high stretch blend of nylon and spandex that's incredibly smooth, for easy donning over thermal layers.

When tasked with building an even tougher and durable neoprene dry suit than its predecessor, Bare's design team looked to some of the toughest protective gear in the world, from across a variety of industry, and conceived a suit with Diamond-Tuff laminate, a heavy-duty metal dry zipper, wider HD Seam tape and extended K-PADz (Kevlar) knee protection. These features make the D6 HD highly abrasion resistant and give it long run durability. This technology makes suits without a single seam stitch. Instead, seams are double-glued and heat taped inside and out. This Bare exclusive deliver's superior performance and maximizes the life of your dry suit by eliminating holes in the neoprene from stitching. NST can be found on all neoprene dry suits.

Neoprene is made in 'buns'. They are cooked in an oven, then 'sliced' horizontally into the thickness required. i.e. 6.5mm, 5.0mm, 3.0mm. The sliced surfaces are called 'open cell'. The neoprene slice is sometimes compressed to offer more stable thermal and buoyancy characteristics and laminated on one or both sides, depending on the purpose. Abrasion resistant knit fabric with heavier yarns improves the dry suits overall durability. The right amount of protection on the knees depends on type and style of diving do. Bare offers a variety of fabrics, ranging from Kevlar to a durable and flexible Melco to protect you and your dry suit. K-PADZ are made from Kevlar laminated over neoprene with Melco 75500 taped edges for durability with added padding.

The Bare D6 HD Pro Dry Suit comes with your choice of latex or a 3mm neoprene comfort-fit neck seal. 2mm nylon/smooth-skin warm collar with vented neck drain provides an improved seal with the Bare dry hood. 360°-degree swivel inflator valve and adjustable low-profile exhaust valve. Questions about this item:

jason b  what are the limits on cold water temp for this suit?
TIM B  Very good cold water suit. I use it commercially and have used it under 30" of Ice on a dam project for an hour long dive and it was great. Thought it is a capeable suit you must also use a very good undergarment l
THOMAS N  I have dove in 17 deg./ with extreme poller ware for over an hour at a time / with 1/2 hour out, to get head and hand's warm for 8 hr. shift's not a prob. but it is all up to the individual diver. GREAT SUIT !!!! cold water , hood, gloves, but most of all , get a ice regulator " not a cold water reg., but an ICE reg." - Tom -
JOHN D  We use the Bare D-6 Pro Drysuit up here in Maine in the winter. We use the suit for urchin and scallop diving. We can get in 4 to 5 tanks in about 40 feet of water. The temperature of the ocean is about 36 degrees. A couple layers of sweat pants and shirts should be enough under the suit. Good Drysuit. Sincerely, John Daley MSDT PADI
CHARLES K  Jason, the Bare drysuit is very Comfortable ,Depending on what kind of diving your going to do whether it pleasure or commercial the suit is comfortable up to 55 degrees without undergarment .if you are wearing undergarment if you are moving constantly you can sustain at least 45 degrees maybe a little lower .of course i've been trained be the best in the busyness navy seay seals if want a really good cold weather recreation suit get axcd2 tech with undergarment, i have never got cot in it and i have dove in some of the coldest waters on earth. So i guess if you are not an extreme diver the Bare d-6 pro is sufficient enough as long as you are cautious and get undergarments just to keep safe, which in diving you should better safe than sorry.
