This is a wonderful knife, in the past I have used knives that end up rusted by the time you get back to your car. This knife stays sharp, and doesn't rust at all (which is good since for the life of me I can not take it apart). HOWEVER, during a paticularly rough beach entry (monastary beach for all you Montery divers), the case snapped in half while still strapped to my leg. See the attached pic with my crude repairs.

I have had this knife for roughly 3 years, and in that time period, it was great. However, on my last spearfishing trip, the entire grip crumbled in my hand and I am now left with just a titanium blade. It still works, but I would be cautious of this for those who have had this knife for awhile. Other than the grip problem, this is one of the best knives I have had.

Comments about Blue Reef Deluxe 5" (12.7 cm) Titanium Knife, Drop Point Tip:

This is the third of these knives that I have bought for myself and family members. It resists rust in salt water, holds a very sharp edge and is well priced. I caught mine on an obstruction and cracked the sheath (not as robust as I would have hoped). However, I glued it with goop 3 years ago and it is still in use today.

I am dive with this knife for two years. Thank God, there were no dangerous situations, and I never wondered how it is sharp. But When I needed to cut a piece of fishing line of 0.5 mm. I did it with great difficulty. Surprised, and tried to cut the fishing line with an old mine steel knife. Only one conclusion: this knife is useless under water

MAURICE P  Won't rust like my last knife
Brad F  I just purchased this knife from LP. The card in the package says it needs to be disassembled for cleaning but there are no instructions for disassembly and it is not obvious to me. Are there instructions?
David R  It's probably the card from the stainless one which comes apart. the titanium one does not come apart and just wipe it clean as it should not rust being titanium.
Jacob D  I have previously purchased this knife. I recently broke the top part of the holder while diving. Is there a replacement shealth that can be purchased?
