Won't move without them. Had a camera slip out of my pocket at a Maldives resort house reef. Never expected to see it again. Walked up the beach, found people looking at my pictures. Saw the strap bobbing in the water, rescued the camera. Pennies to save your expensive items.
You want to take your digital camera on your next white-water adventure or maybe out on the lake while you are out on your personal watercraft zipping around and having fun. Your camera is waterproof, but if you dropped it in the water by accident you could lose it. Blue Reef's Floating Strap is designed for just that need. Floating foam strap is made to keep waterproof digital cameras afloat and easy to find in the water. The bright colored strap is easy to see in pools, lakes or oceans.
The Blue Reef Float Strap provides surfers, kayakers and other active swimmers with the ability to strap the camera to their arm, freeing their hands when not taking photos. Strap has a durable bright yellow nylon outer shell and adjustable wrist strap with barrel lock fastener. Camera attaches securely to the Strap and provides positive buoyancy keeping your camera floating in case it is dropped in the water.

Sorry for the timely reply I've been out of the country. It will float my Canon PowerShot DS20 (weights 1/2 pound) looking and measuring the floatation foam I believe it will float 1 pound easy.

In salt water the buoyancy is higher of course. I was not making any measurement but something not more then 100 grms. However the quality is OK and colour will help to find the item in the water even if it goes down.
To summarise this item is OK for small things like compass or similar.

for our camera. I left a GoPro at the bottom of the ocean at Molasses Reef, Key Largo. Luckily I found it but I'm likely to drop it again.

Dove Palancar Deep in Cozumel, Mexico. The pre-dive briefing stated 'if you drop something here, it's gone'. Thought this would make a good 'just in case'.
