About Blue Reef Predator Rubber Fin

Tried and True Design of Rubber Vented Fin, the Blue Reef Predator Rubber Fin is a Classic. The Power Vents Reduce Stress while Accelerating Water Over-the-Blade for an Efficient and Powerful Kick. This Type of Fin is the sole choice of many Combat and Tactical Units Worldwide. The unique Rubber Compound allows you to achieve Greater Efficiency by Reducing the Overall Weight and Adding a Snap Back Quality.

The Vented Blade Design allows Water to Flow-Through the Vents on the Weaker Down-Stroke of Fining, Reducing Pressure and providing Less Strain on the Leg. When Fining in the Up-Stroke, due to the Angle of the Vent, the Fin Reacts as a Solid Blade for Maximum Power and Propulsion. The Blue Reef Predator Open Heel Fins come equipped with Strong and Durable Adjustable Rubber Fin Straps, with Squeeze-Style" Quick-Release Buckles for Easy Donning and Doffing. Comments about Blue Reef Predator Rubber Fin:

This is a great set of fins. They're not as sleek as some others and they don't have advanced materials or gimmicky features. For those of you looking for a bullet-proof fin, this is it. If you want to be the coolest looking diver, they're probably not for you. They work great for me and endure all the abuse I can throw at them. Highly recommended!

Comments about Blue Reef Predator Rubber Fin:

Out of the box, these fins are noticably shorter and more pliable than other rubber blade fins. The fin strap mounts are made of rubber (not plastic) and are further up the foot pocket, shortening the strap's length by a half-size or so (I replaced them with oversized EZ spring straps).

In the water, they are fairly easy to get on, a little challenging to get off, but the footpocket is very comfortable with drysuit boots. Surface swimming requires a little work and stabilizing, due to the flexibility of the fin.

Underwater, these peform the different styles of fin kicks (flutter, frog, helicopter turns), their short length is nice in kelp beds and they are fun to use on light dives. But these are not your daddy's workhorse fins. I would avoid using these in current, long surface swims and other types of challenging dives.

I would recommend these to divers who dive in unchallenging conditions that are looking for a comfortable, open heal, short rubber blade style fin.

Comments about Blue Reef Predator Rubber Fin:

Boyfriend ordered a large pair for himself and they were way to small so I got them (I'm typically a medium). These fins are fantastic! I used them for the first time in Cozumel and was able to swim against the current very well. They are heavier than my old fins (Sea Elite Trans F1 OH Fins) but the power that I get out of them is well worth it. The only down side to them is that the foot pocket is not shaped the best (kind of like a rectangle, no curve at the top to accommodate the shape of your foot) so after a couple of consecutive dives, the top of my feet were sore from the fins rubbing (through my 5mm boots). All in all, they're a great pair of fins that I would highly recommend.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MR A  Hi name is Bruno Andujar,I am Scuba Diver. I bought this item because the price and quality is good. I will use for my dive school and shop as well.
Shopper  Are they heavy? My wife has a large foot with a wide width.Think they would be good for snorkeling for her while wearing water shoes?
PAMALA P  We bought these fins as a gift for our son. He wears a mens shoe size of 11 wide which fits between two sizes on the size chart so we purchased the XL for him. The fins are a little big, as even when wearing his diving shoes, he needs to pull the strap as tight as possible and luckily that works fine for him. We should have gone with the large size instead. The fins do have a bit of weight to them and would be too heavy for long distance swimming. However, if used for snorkeling or diving they have enough weight to help keep you down without any struggle to surface. He loves them, and of the different fins he has, these were his choice of fin to take to Utila where he used them twice a day the two weeks he was there diving the reefs for research.
