Most Liked Positive Review

Good simple multi-dive book

This is my second book like this and they are great for short descriptions and many dives.

Most Liked Negative Review

Not accepted for use by SSI

I purchased 2 of these for my dive buddy and me but the SSI school we're attending wouldn't allow us to use them because they are not SSI brand. I like that this dive log is compact but it doesn't have separate categories for different levels. (ie. snorkeling, diver, advanced diver,...)

Most Versatile Logbook

By

from Panorama City, CA, US

I've been using this model of dive logbook since 1988. With over 150 dives logable in this book, I find it to be the best option for recreational divers who might later decide that they want to pursue professional career in diving. As with pilots, one's experience and judgment is often evaluated -- at least initially -- by the quality of the records kept. For each dive, this logbook provides space for all standard information and a few lines to denote memorable moments. I augment the logbook with a separate notebook, in which I record more detailed notes, like dive debrief observations and site sketches. And, while I also use electronic dive logs with my dive computer, I am a firm believer in low-tech back-ups (hardcopies) when electronics fail; and they do! For added protection against moisture, I keep my logbook in a 1-gallon zip-lock freezer bag along with my NDC tables and fish ID plates. I also made a small pocket in the inside front flap of the logbook for my dive card, DAN card and local fill cards, etc., using a ziplock snack bag and some packing tape. You can also use the logbook's extra pages to insert printed weight-tables and other useful information for ready access needs. In short, this is the only logbook for me. And don't forget to periodically scan or photocopy your completed pages, just in case your logbook goes missing.

Great simple log book for lots of dives!

By

This log book is great - enough room to log the detail you need, unless you want to wrtie a book on each dive that is! - no wasted space Lots of dives in one log book..... :)

Simple paper log

By

I keep an electronic desktop log of my dives, downloading the profile from the dive computer and an extensive description of the dive. This paper log however allows me to collect the stamps from the dive operators, which otherwise would have no place to go. I keep the details of the dive in the paper log to a minimum, so it's writing space and layout isn't that important. This log holds about 150 dives.

Q&A

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Gerard L  What are the dimensions of this log book?
MARK G  Approximately 4" x 7".
JOACHIM M  The book measures 7 x 4.25 inches
GORDON O  Although the site states 7" long and 4" wide, by my ruler & eyesight: 7" x 4&3/8ths" x 1/4th" (175mm x 110mm x 5mm for those who are metrically inclined). Has 33 "double pages" with 5 entries for entering dive data so good for 165 logged dives and no irritating thick binder to take up extra room. There are a few extra pages in the front for ID stuff in case it gets lost (which I use) & in the back for drawing pictures of your favorite dive locations (which I don't...just buy a GoPro camera & video your dive sites). My brother & I have been using these books for years...currently on my 3rd one. It's not waterproof, but that's nothing a good ziplock bag won't remedy.
JANET A  4.25 x 7" Five entries to each 2-page spread. Works well, I'm on my 4th!
DR. STANLEY A W  around 4 inches by 7 inches... I liked it because you could get 10 dives on a page. Also you can put all relevant info on one line. Biggest drawback is not enough room to write down a lot of what you saw on a dive. When I filled this one up, I went back to 1 page 1 dive.
DONNA D  7 inches long x 4 inches wide
ALVARO S  7" long by 4" wide
JOHM B  the book is 4x7 inches open it up and you get 4x14 5 dives are entered on each page so each entry is about 14x 1/2 30 some pages, so you can log about 170 dives in one book also room in back for notes and sketches I have logged over 1700 dives in there books dive number, date, location, type of dive dive time accumulated UW time , depth , vis , tank info , conditions, remarks , verification nice SMALL book, great for travel
KEVIN F  7" Long. 4" Wide. 1/4" Thick
Gerard L  Thanks for the answer.
Shopper  How many dives can be logged in this book? Is it waterproof?
LeisurePro S  This log has space for 165 dives, but is not waterproof.
Shopper  Is this a hard back book? made by global manuf?
LeisurePro S  This book has a heavy vinyl cover, and it is flexible, not hard. Trident distributes it, their part number is BK55.
