Armor Rolling Duffle

I have had this bag now going on 3 years and have about 450 dives on it. It has traveled internationally via ship, in pickup trucks and in the belly of aircraft. It has been drug around, beat-up, thrown and stuff stacked up on top of it. So in my comment about durability please take that with the above in mind. The wheels have been great, the handle works just fine and the zipper has never given me a problem. I like this bag better than the XS Scuba bag that is similar. It has a bit mor...

Not So Easy To Roll

This is a great bag in every respect except for its intended purpose - easy transport of gear. The bag lacks an extendable handle like the Akona; instead it has a grab handle at the end of the bag. This is fine if you are 5'9", but for tall people, you have to bend over to pull it down the dock, and it is very difficult to push and control its direction. Given that extendable handles are commonplace, this design is downright dopey. It was a real struggle with heavy gear and a long dock an...

Great Dive Bag

By

This bag is a very durable. Took it down to the keys with gear for two scuba divers and two snorkelers. It was handled by multiple people and held up to the abuse. The ability to roll this bag fully loaded to the boat made a big difference in Key West where we had to pull it for over ten blocks to the dive boat. The mesh is very thick and sturdy and drains easily.

Very good bag

By

I used this bag for one dive trip so far and it worked very well. Easily fits my entire gear, BC, fins, regulator, 2 wet suits, gloves, hood, boots. It rolls quite easily and I did not have any problems handling it filled with gear. It appears well made and durable but I don't have it long enough to make that judgement. It would be great if the bag had a side pocket for the smaller items and a shoulder strap.

Looks Outstanding

By

Have not actually used it yet, going in a couple of weeks, but it has great capacity, rolls around good inside the house, pulls just fine, quality looks first rate.

not as good as the XS SCUBA bag

By

I bought this bag because of the reviews. We have the XS SCUBA wheeled mesh bag and this one looked identical for less money - that should have been my first clue! The wheels are not as large or sturdy as the XS bag, the bottom has a nylon piece on it which will wear quickly, the mesh is not as thick, and the inside trim around the wheels is poorly finished. I would not buy this bag again :-(

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MARTIN C  Needed a rolling bag big enough for all my gear.As always I go to Leisure Pro first!
Rylan W  Will this work as check on luggage for airline?
DARIN L  I have done it once before. Everything worked just fine. It's an oversize bag so it can only contain diving related stuff, but that's generally not a problem.
KEVIN A  Yes its fine to check in, travelled Europe, South East Asia, West Africa long haul and short haul with no problem. It is fairly see through so make sure valuables are concealed in a liner or plastic bag.
MATTHEW K  I used it at checked luggage on a trip once. It faired alright but some of the mesh got torn up and cut in spots, probably the conveyor belts and just getting dragged around. It will do in a pinch but but I dont think its really meant to be a checked bag.
TODD R  Yes, we always pack our dive gear for trips in this bag. It is durable and has held up well even with the abuse bags take during baggage handling.
ROBERT C  Yes it does, I use mine when I go on dive trips... I do use a brightly colored zip tie on the zipper tabs as some security but take my dive computer and regulator as carry on.
DAVID M  No the bag is too large to carry on
STEVEN H  Yes. But it is see-through, and doesn't provide any protection for any of your gear, so you might want to pull out your regulator and computer for carryon. But fine for fins, wetsuits and BCDs
DAVID M  no
DANIEL S  This is a great bag and holds lots of gear. I wouldn't use it as a checked luggage bag only because it is a soft shell bag. I would be afraid the baggage handlers would throw stuff on top of it or mistreat it. Personally, when I travel with my dive gear, I use a regular piece of luggage with a sturdy frame. But overall...great dive bag to use on most occasions and I highly recommend.
SHAWN M  Yes, it will work as check on luggage. You might want to pack your stuff in large black HD plastic bags inside to help with security (since you can see through the mesh) and in case it's loaded/unloaded in the rain. Perfect for live-aboard trips!
DANIEL S  I have not checked this duffle bag on a flight but I have checked other duffel bags of similar size. I see no reason why it would be rejected by an airline.
JEFF C  I guess it would although it's see through so depending what you're going to carry in it.
DENNIS B  Yes, I have checked it on a couple of flights when I when Scuba diving. Did not have a problem.
Adam G  It has two diffrent external sizes listed. How big is it? I like diving with free diving fins and there 36" long. Will they fit?
MICHELLE G  The # 98 bag will definitely NOT fit 36" fins as the dimensions are given as: 31" x 14" x 14". The # 92 bag will unlikely fit your 36" fins as the dimensions are given as: 36"x14". These size dimensions are provided in the product description under features.
EMILY C  I don't think so. The dimensions are 31" x 14" x 14". I got those from the Armor website. It's been a great bag for me however.
CHRISTINA D  Fins at 36 inches might be tight...measured the bag at 34 inches...not sure how free diving fins flex, so it might be do-able. The bag is awesome and Dive Instructors/Leaders/Masters always comment on its roominess, i.e. easy to fit B.C. regulator, fins (that are 25 inches) 5 mil wet suit and assorted other dive gear...room for alot more stuff as well.
JOHN J  Hi, This is a great bag. The bag measures 36" long (I checked this for you), so it may accomodate your free dive fins, but just. I hope this helps.
