Smart buy

from Grand Haven, MI, US

I bought one of these while on vacation in Provo, I needed something for three sets of snorkel gear and lived that it is a backpack style. This fits three sets of adult size fins, snorkels and masks with no problem. Love the outside pouch for camera and other necessities.

from Baltimore, MD, US

Received delivery early and in what seemed was good condition. As soon as I had filled the bag I noticed a tear in the webbing that I think will soon render the bag useless. I have walked a total of 20 feet with this on my back inside my own home.

Great Gear Bag

bought this specifically for Diving in Cozumel. Our Dive company (dive palancar) said they would take care of out gear if it was in a mesh bag. I have had rental gear come in those cheap laundry bags before and they are junk and hard to handle. Since we were using our own gear I went with this bag. I was more then pleasantly surprised when I received them. They are quite large and fit all, and I mean all of your dive gear. It was very useful being able to "see" into the bag to find the gear you needed at any given moment. The coated mesh was extremely durable and it should last for dozens upon dozens more dives. What a great gear bag, at a great price. Well worth the money, you get a great quality product.

well worth the money

I bought my first one several years ago. It is very strong and has held up well; looks like new after many week-long dive trips. I bought another one for my son who got tired of using a flimsy mesh duffel bag for all his gear. The bag is made of a sturdy reinforced mesh material. It has a solid fabric bottom with a drain hole. It is top-loading but also has a side zipper to access items on the bottom or middle. It will easily handle a full wet suit, BCD, fins and other dive equipment.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Dakota S  What gear have you put inside of it and how much more room is there, with both dry and wet gear? specifically 7mm wetsuit, hooded vest, etc. Thanks
PROMO D  Fits turbo fins, Mask, Snorkel, 3m Wetsuit, Gauges, and BC no problem. Does have a little room if you need to put a towel. But with all that gear it's heavy. Overall a decent bagEnter an answer to this question.
JAMIE H  I have put all my dive gear except tank in this bag, bc, wet suit, mask, fins this is a very roomy bag. I also love the two options for getting into the bag, one end opens with draw string or use the zipper along the length.
MICHAEL S  I have my fins, mask, regulator bag, one wet suit, and there is plenty room for other suits like you have. Just got to cram it in there. I would say it is about the size as one of those army duffle bags you see them carry through the airport.
sandy w  This bag is huge! Last dive trip I loaded 2 sets of mask, snorkel and fins, 2 prs. booties, a 4/5 wetsuit and a 3ml shortie, 1 skin, 1 hood, 1 pr. of gloves, 2 dive logs/binders, 2 towels, 2 computers, 1 slate and a compass. It got heavy before it was full.
JONATHAN B  It's big heavy sturdy bag that I can get all my gear in. It's rubber coated so stiffer than regular mesh bags. I've only put a 3mm suit in, which fit well with room to spare for small camera, towel and some other gear. The outside pocket is flat and does not expand.
BRAD B  The bag is 30 x 16, specifically. It's a small bag. You've likely filled its volume with a 7m suit. But fold it up and measure it...specifically.
Shopper  what does it weight? how does the bottom drain?
ERIK F  It's fairly heavy because the material is plastic instead of mesh. I would guess about 2 lbs. This is a great bag for local diving. It holds up really well. I use it 2-3 times a month and haven't had any issues. There's a hole in the bottom of the bag where it drains water. It's a really good bag, and I love the shoulder straps for easy carrying. For travel, you might be able to find something lighter.
CHARLES G  The bag weighs less than a pound, likely 10-12 oz. There is a grommeted hole in the bottom, about the size of a dime. I love this bag, especially at this price point.
sandy w  This particular backpack is very light, especially compared to my old Oceanic one. It's also bigger, holds way more gear and is more user friendly with a side carry handle, a full length pocket and a zipper down the side. i've put it in semi-storage since returning from Martinique with it but I seem to remember a drain hole in the bottom. Hope this helps.
DAVID D  I'm not sure about the weight...a pound or two? It is quite durable. As for the drainage, obviously the bulk of the water drains out the sides, but there is a small hole in the bottom that allows any residual water to drip out. I purchased the same bag twice, once when I got certified, and again for one of my children when they got certified. I hope this helps.
JONATHAN B  cumbersome. The lightweight ones are more comfortable on bare skin however. My lightweight one lasted years still... I actually sewed it back up after receiving the new rubber coated ones because I do like it as a lightweight, soft and more comfortable option... and is the one I would proby use on a liveaboard or anywhere weight and size is an issue
JONATHAN B  It drains great through the mesh and grommet hole on the bottom. It is heavier and stiffer than my last one that wore out because it is much more durable.... Opportunity cost, right? It is not a beast however and I don't did lugging it around much more c
