About Search Alert TSA Travel Lock, Black

The new SearchAlert re-setable combination padlock by Prestolock offers two unique innovations in luggage security:

1. SearchAlert may be opened with an override device controlled by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents. No SearchAlert lock should be cut off by TSA agents.

2. SearchAlert features a Security Window which changes color from Green to Red when any override device is used.

The Security Window shows Red under the following condition:

Luggage checked at an Airport or Seaport is sent through an electronic screening. If a TSA agent determines the luggage needs to be hand searched, the SearchAlert lock will be opened by the agent. When the TSA override device is used, the Security Window changes color from Green to Red.

One reason why the Search Alert TSA Travel Lock, Black is popular is because of its Functional.

Its just a lock for God's sakes

By

its a combo lock. it works. give you sense of security meaning that you actually know if someone has been in your stuff. I bought these mostly because they tattle by indication weather you should be curious or not.

Your crazy if you don't have several

By

I now have 5 locks. Since 911 your bags must be left unlocked for security checks allowing anyone in the bagagage area to steal what they want. This is the best way to keep your dive equipment secure and let the TSA check with their pass key. You can even use them on the boat while your diving.

Not really an accesory for PELICAN Cases

By

The lock is Ok, but the only downside is that is not an accessory for Pelican Cases. The ear of the lock is too small. I found it very difficult to put on. It needs a little bit of getting used to and for this reason I think it is unlikely that TSA officers will have the same persistence.

LYNN B  SearchAlert is preset to 0-0-0. To set your combination, follow instructions. 1. Set combination to 0-0-0, pull out shackle and rotate 180 degrees. 2 Push shackle in, hold in, and rotate 90 degrees (left or right). 3 Set your combination. Return Shackle to locked position then test new combination. 4. To reset, set to your combination, pull out shackle, rotate 180degrees. 5. Now repeat steps #2 & #3. I lost my combination also, I sat and did the combinations to figure out what it was. There are no instructions for losing your combination. Sorry, hope this helps.
Shopper  I lost the instructions. What is the initial lock number?
