from Denver, CO, US

Exactly what I wanted! at a great low price! Tube is made of great heavy canvas/nylon material! Easy to inflate/deflate :-)

Shore Diving

from The Villages, FL, US

It is a great safety tool for dive excursions on a cruise, shore diving in Bonaire or anywhere in the world. Small compact

too small

from Port Orford, OR, US

You want the largest size available when your in trouble and waiting on a pick up. I have only needed it once and since the Coast Guard had trouble finding me with the larger size this one would be inadequate. Surprising how small they get when large swells and fog separate you from a boat. This and a whistle are your life savers.

Good travel sausage

from Lowell, MA, US

This is a good travel sausage - Fits in the pocket of a BC vest and is easy to deploy. Mouth inflated - and has a clip on a short strap to attach to a D ring. This is a medium size sausage - in bright colors - good for drift diving or emergency use. The attachment strap is too short so I extend it half a foot with a cord looped through the D ring. Every diver should have one for poor visibility - rough water - drift diving.

Bright Color

I haven't had to use this yet (thankfully) but I love that it is bright orange and was a great price! I unrolled it and inflated it slightly just to make sure it works and it was very easy to use and rolls back up great!

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ROGER B  didn't have one and dive operator required - definitely needed
WILLIS R C  We carry them for safety to signal a boat. We never have had to use one; but it is good "insurance" to signal with.
Michael T  Just did my first Cozumel diving...dive master had this setup. Used it to mark our pickup point to the boat. Realized then it was an important piece of safety equipment I didn't have.
Ron M  My son and girlfriend are divers. They needed them. Christmas request.
LARRY L  Got this for safety - just in case I need to signal at the surface or if I need a down line for a safety stop.
ELIAS A  This marker is very well made and designed, but is bulky and heavy. It is great if you dive in open water, as it has a valve to seal in the air.
CHUCK C  Both my wife and I are equiped with signal inflators.
CHUCK C  An essential piece of equipment I carry on all dives. One for me and one for my wife.
DAWN B  price
NEAL R G  very valuable piece of gear and good price at LeisurePro
JOSEPH H  Needed for drift dives.
EDWARD M  As a SMB. All boat divers must have one.
GUY K  Safety
HUNTER L  compact, visible,low price
RANDY K  Visibility when doing boat dives in an area with current.
TIM B  I needed them, fair price.
KELLIE M  In an emergency, it inflates and will help to locate you. Every diver should have one.
SHAWN L  Safety
KAREN B  Always carry one... never leave home without one.
PAT M  Price and size
LAUREL M  To put it bluntly, I needed one. In 15 years of diving I had never bought one and having dove in some pretty rough water, I thought I had better buy one and be ready in case I ever needed it. Diving in the Caribbean in the fall has its hazards, mainly hurricanes and tropical storms. I'm ready!
STEPHEN G  Dependable, compact and easy to deploy.
RODERICK K  Safety reasons
CURTIS O  compact easy to use
Arkstorm A  I chose this safety sausage to wear while dive mastering confined water classes to demonstrate to students that every diver should always have this safety device. On open water dives I wear a much larger and more robust model.
EMERICH H  this is mandatory to have prior to board into a boat in some places in USA
BRIAN H  Good size ! easy to use, simple attachment.
Char C C  whats the width?
ROGER B  It's been awhile since using it; but inflated it's almost 4" in diameter
StMalachy S  Approximately 3.5 - 4"
CHRIS J  Rolled up maybe 6 inch wide...inflated 3-4 inch dia.
Lance C  After a dive trip the inside is a bit wet, not much, but needs to be dried out. The valve is spring loaded to the "shut" position, there is no way to prop the valve open to let the inside dry out, nor is there a way (that I can tell) to remove the valve to allow inside to dry. What's the trick to drying the inside after a dive trip?
RICK J  The trick is to realize that it has failed. I think that it should be replaced at no charge to you-a potentially life saving device ( I was in the middle of the Indian Ocean when all the divers got strung out for miles due to very strong currents. Everyone had a safety sausage in the air which helped the boat to find all of us) that was likely faulty to begin with.
MAURICE C  Inflate it and leave it for a few days. Otherwise don't worry about it.
