Good buy

Does the advertised job, and for the first time my camera is nicely tucked away behind me and not getting in the way. At first I thought the clip had broken and my camera was gone, but after a few moments of searching I found it behind me flush against my tank.

Must have

I use the locking gear keeper to keep up with my light and large wrenches. It keeps the items handy and when needed, I can lock the retractor, let go of the tool, and have no fear of losing it. most of the time I don't need to lock it but when I do, it comes in mighty handy.

Works as advertised.

I use the retractor to hold my camera. When I'm not using the camera it is out of my way.

I use this to secure my GoPro to my harness. It is pretty bulky, I may go with a slightly smaller one.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
BRIAN H  This keeper was selected to attach my new JVC Piscio / Ikelite camera to my BCD. It has done all that I asked without any problems, performed as advertised, very happy with this unit!
Shopper  What is the retention force in ounces? Thank you
MIKE L  Ounces? I do not know. I do know this, I use three on my dive gear. One to keep my computer close, and two (one on each side) on my camera. When not in use, the camera is against my chest, out of the way, and not hanging off my arm. These gear keepers work very well.
Deb G  What is the size of the rectangle area of the retractor?
PHILLIP C  long side is about 2 - 2.5 inchs short side is about 1.5 inches as i recall i do not have it in front of me right now but really like this retractor - have been using it for a couple dive seasons now.
